Who would have thought of such and idea, Hobbies and Scuba Gear under one roof. Well this store has pulled it off. A very strange but curiosity seems to get most people to stop by this place.

I went because I could not believe such a store existed when I read Liz's review. Well it is true, everything from model air-planes, trains to play with and why not learn to Scuba Dive, being a certified diver already ( PADI), I have to say, this is a great place to take your lessons.

This is a rare but interesting store.

It all comes down to a few simple questions: A)Do you like scuba Diving? B)Do you like Model Trains? C)Do you like tiny Lord Of The Rings action figures you can paint yourself? D)Do you like ridiculous combinations that have very little business being together?

If you answered yes to any three of these four questions you owe it to yourself to check out the Nautilus Aquatic Centre.

Like Liz, I only checked this store out because the selling points were too ridiculous to not have a look. It is exactly what the name suggests: A store full of scuba gear and hobby items. It makes no sense, but it works on a really bizarre level.

I've always wanted to scuba dive. I was in an aquarium in Barcelona once that offered the opportunity to take a dive with sharks if you were scuba certified. I've always wanted to go back and do it. Seeing as Nautilus offers scuba lessons, I may have to stop back in when the water gets a little warmer and sign up!

Definitely an interesting shop and worth a few minutes of your time.

How can you not be intrigued by a business that brings together the varied passions of one individual. Not saying that there aren't a ton of people out there who love both scuba diving and model trains and cars, but this is a funny combo sure to titillate the curious shopper.

I spoke with Michael today when I ventured into the Quinpool shop. I was interested to find out about scuba lessons and learned that the next certification course starts in a few weeks. The cost is about $350 and you learn to dive at the Sportsplex and then head out into the ocean for a more legit experience.

The shop is pretty fun, with model cars, speedos and oxygen tanks all living cozily within the same space. Michael was very informative and helpful, giving me the dirt on the store layout as well as all of the scuba education provided by the shop.

The shop's fusion of wares may be slightly bizarre; however, they do provide very valuable scuba training recognized globally. If you're planning a vacation where you hope to spend some time under the sea, head on into Nautilus first to get the scoop on safe diving practices.

Popped in for the hobby aspect of this little gem of a store. Found the staff friendly and helpful with my questions. They have a 'trade-in' section of opened model kits for bargain prices. The model selection has something for everyone and I picked up a Trumpiter 1/144 Me-262 jet plane kit. For everyone not in the hobby or a military enthusiast it was the first operational jet fighter developed in WWII by Germany. I like the small shop feel, almost family like atmosphere. Not into scuba but its there for all who are. I will stop in again and purchase more from this great lill' hobby shop.
