Review from Candice W.
St John's, NL
One of my favourite spots for a casual beer or some pub grub, Nautical Nellie's always has great service and is located in a prime location downtown. Lots of great beer on tap as well.
If you want some delightful Newfoundland food, try the cod-au-gratin or cod tongues (yep, battered fish tongues). Make sure you pair either dish with some Black Horse or India beer. -

I asked my friend for a pub recommendation as I wanted a pint with my dinner.
She suggested Nellies as apparently they have the best wings in the city. Not being a wing person, I made sure there were other things and she said there were a few things, so she was sure I'd find something.
To my delight the menu had expanded and almost doubled in size since her visit! I had the Spicy Chicken Pesto linguine and a couple pints of Harp. Two things which aren't that hard to mess up, but the charm of this small pub, in combination with great things like linguine and Harp, means it gets 4 stars!
I look forward to being in the capital city again, so that I can have another dinner at Nautical Nellies. -
Review from Steve B.

Had the local Sunday meal (Jigg?) which was huge. It was tasty and simple, roast beef, cured beef rib (very tasty, but salty), potatoes and gravy. At 13$, it was a filling meal, but make sure you run "the hill" first, you'll need the appetite!

Nellie's is a decent little spot to pop in and have a drink on a stormy winter night.
