While walking through The Market, I am always drawn to this table.
I have to stand in awe of the workmanship that goes into these pieces of art. I call them art because if you have a look you will see beautiful designs among these bowls, trays, cutting boards, you name it , it is here.
The wood is not dyed at all, the are 100% natural, so the colours in the woods are exactly what the tree is. It is a husband and wife that operate this business, they are located out of Kingston, but you can find them as a regular at the market.
They have been there for years. Ida is usually there running the table and will answer any question you might have, her husband, Rodney makes all the wares. They are pretty moderately priced in my opinion , and to be honest , the pieces are so beautiful, they will be a conversation starter at the supper table.

It's always a joy to see real craftsmanship. And while it's true, I go to the Halifax Farmers Market for the food, it's wonderful to come across workmanship that is exceptional.

These beautiful, unique items handcrafted from hardwoods from around the world, are lovingly designed and made right here in Nova Scotia and include salad bowls, butcher blocks, lazy Susans, mortars and pestles, fruit bowls, cutting blocks.

Hint to any of my friends and family...my birthday is coming up.....
