Review from Greg H.
Belleville, ON
With entirely free admission (donations welcome), this excellent museum has steadily improved from the early 90s when it was largely a one room collection in an old curling rink. Now a very large new structure it can't me missed with the dozens of large aircraft available for up close viewing (including a C-130 and an F-18) all parked outside.
The feature display is a Halifax bomber underneath the dome-like new glass structure. The old bird was meticulously and lovingly restored by volunteers, many of who flew her in the WWII.
Inside is everything from artwork, uniforms, aircraft parts, and simulators to a memorial area and gift shop. Staffed by volunteers who, again, are mostly those with experience on the museums contents this is probably the best thing to see and do in Trenton. I think it outdoes the Aviation Museum in Ottawa as well, largely because it's less institutional and far more personal an experience.
