A few months ago, I needed a pedicure pretty badly. (Oh bunions, I am too young for you!) I randomly stopped by Nail Tekniqs as a walk-in, as their sign does say walk-ins are welcome, and I was welcomed. Really nicely. The woman who provided my service spent almost an hour massaging my poor feet, plus the time involved in the technicalities of a pedicure. When another customer came in, she phoned some other staff, who were there within a matter of minutes. Very nice touch, I thought.
So today, when I randomly decided to stop by again to relive the experience, I was not as pleased. I walked into a COMPLETELY EMPTY nail salon. Literally one man sitting alone at a nail station cleaning some brushes. I nicely asked if I could possibly have a pedicure. "No, I'm too busy." I thought it was a joke. It was not.
I'm down with places that don't take walk-ins. I know to make an appointment. But for the love of g-d, be consistent people. I'll take my business somewhere that isn't too busy cleaning brushes to take my money.
