What a fabulous dinner! I've spent a bit of time in many areas of Greece and rarely find Greek food as delicious and authentic as Mythos. The wine was wonderful and affordable, and the combo platters were delectable. Even my least favorite food, like dolmanthes, were delicious and flavorful. They welcomed our young children even though they made quite a mess.

Went here last night for the first time. Yummy!
The atmosphere was nice and cozy. We were seated near the fireplace. The service was great.
Food was very tasty.
We had the The Symposium In Three Presentations:
* Pita, Homous, Satziki, Saganaki
* Keftedes, Kalamari, Spanakopita
* Greek Salad, Roast Lamb, Roast Potatoes
The Homous and saganaki were particularly delicious in the first course.
There was soooo much food, I definitely felt like we got our money's worth ($29/person). -

My Valentine of 12 years, Jake, grew up in Cyprus. He loves anything Mediterranean, and he knows his Greek food. So for Valentine's Day, we decided to try out Mythos Taverna on The West Shore.
We had great service from the minute we entered. We got seated right away beside their wonderful fireplace. The room was lit by candles. Very romantic.
For starters, we had the Homous (tahini and chick pea pate $6.95) and the Saganaki (pan-fried Greek cheese $7.95).
Jake is really picky about his homous - and he really liked it. I personally thought it wasn't garlicy enough, but still tasty. The Saganaki was really good! it was so melty and delicious. It came with a large slice of lemon on top and with warm pita bread. What a great start to the meal.
For our main courses, we had Mousaka ( potato, zucchini, eggplant, ground beef and bechamel $17.25) and the Chicken Souvlaki ($17.95). The souvlaki came with rice, vegetables, potatoes and a healthy portion of satziki sauce. I love satziki sauce, its one of my favorite things to eat - and theirs was just delicious. The portions were massive, you would've easily made two meals out of my Mousaka. I could barely eat another bite.... then dessert came. We shared the Baklava- not too sweet. Just right.
I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant, I loved the murals and the fireplace. I thought the candles were a nice touch. The food was really good and the waiters were very attentive. If you're looking for a nice romantic dinner without breaking the bank, I recommend it. Happy dinning! -

So pretty inside! This place was busy Saturday night, but they were able to seat us right away even though we did not have reservations and the five people ahead of us did not either. Our friends came here for their anniversary, but did not have a good time. I wanted Greek food and thought, what the hey... their platters sound nice.
So here we are. Service is wonderful. Waters replenished, so many servers helping each other... I didn't have to ask for anything because everything I needed was brought to us. I ordered a coke... but it was fountain pepsi. I was okay with this because it tasted nice... I know I am picky... It's just that I don't want to waste my empty calories on things that don't taste good.
We searched their menu before coming and settled on their Mythos Combination 4. It came with bread and salad to start... and then a whole lotta meat! It had lamb, chicken, meatballs, dolmades and a huge portion of calamari and four potatoes. The lamb was so tender... and the meatballs had a really good flavour. I have never had dolmades before... so good. The potatoes were tangy. The chicken tasted like it was stewed instead of roasted, but that could have been because of the sauce. There was so much food. So much yummy food. I love that their combination included everything I would have ordered and more. -

Wow! a Greek restaurant that is not "White with Blue accents" ! The atmosphere is warm, great & casual here. The menu offers items not found at other greek restaurants. We had the grilled baby squid stuffed with crab! Yum! Waiters were polite and approachable with sense of humour. Both took care of us but never pestering. I would certainly go back! Great patio too for those who enjoy that.
