Had my first clean from MyClean today. Decided on the "Deep Clean" package, as I have been a bit on the lazy side for the last few months and the crib was looking haggard.
The Cleaner (sounds so much cooler than "housekeeper", like from some pulp crime thriller, no?) arrived right on time and with 60 seconds of direction, proceeded to scrub a sheen onto my grime-battered home over the course of the afternoon. The checklist these guys use is very smart and my cleaner executed on it well with attention to detail. Great job.
I gotta say, I love the ability to schedule online and have a little personalized dashboard to manage the service. They're kinda like the Seamless of housekeeping.
Definitely going to use these guys again! -

MyClean rocks. My friends know that I am a true clean freak and it's a very big deal for me to trust a cleaning provider with my apartment.
I think the key is communicating your needs with them. Do you need your stainless steel refrigerator wiped sideways only? Need the inside of your vanity mirror above the bathroom sink cleaned? You don't want to use a certain chemical for your hardwood floors? Everyone is different so tell them what you need. Afterwards, they do an excellent job!
Customer service is solid.
And the UI of their site http://www.myclean.com is clean (sorry.. had to go there), easy to navigate around and schedule cleanings. Their cleaning $ estimator is helpful as well for prospectives.

I've used MyClean for over a year. I keep using them for the convenience in scheduling and the price was reasonable. However the cleaners they send are very erratic in quality. They almost always send a different person even though I have a regular schedule set up. The previous person I used usually isn't with them anymore. We do not have a messy apartment and my needs are a very thorough cleaning of dust and dirt. About 3/4 of my cleans have been acceptable. Only a couple have been first rate. And more than a couple have been terrible. Amazingly many cleaners have not even been able to find our apartment building even though it is very large - 250 apartments - and on a major avenue in Manhattan. If I hadn't been home I'm not sure where they would have gone!
It is easier to know that the person coming to your apartment has been there before, knows your supplies, what needs to be done, and any special instructions. I now feel I need to be home for each clean to give instructions to every new person.
They have raised their prices this year and I no longer find it worth the money.
Michael had tried very hard to make sure that I have had good service. He has offered to send someone else to complete inadequate cleanings. And he refunded my charge once when the cleaning was totally unsatisfactory.
But the bottom line is when I schedule a cleaning I want my apartment cleaned correctly at that time. I do not have the time in my schedule to have someone come back to reclean the apartment. AMAZED that this service has more than one star. My cleaner was AWFUL! She spent the whole time on the phone, and when she wasn't on the phone, she was sitting on her ASS telling how how horrible all the other cleaners are that work for the company, and how "LUCKY you are that I'm here because EVERYBODY asks for me so I'm always booked and OH NOW look at the time, sorry I couldn't finish but I have to go even though you paid for 4 hours and I came late and am leaving early, and only did one bedroom, 1 bath and half the kitchen, no mopping or vacuuming either, but I have another gig, I'm sooo in demand...oh yeah and may I have my tip on the normal $250 you would have paid for this amazing service? NO tip? How about a sandwich, you know I didn't break for lunch...?" This was the worst waste of money and especially time.
And my appointment was NOT easy to schedule, their online system is a mess and I was on the phone with the owner for way too long while she tried to figure it out (clueless), until I just said "why don't you just give me a time and we'll figure out the setting up of accounts and stuff later???" I purchased a groupon for another company that was a complete FAIL. With the need to get my apartment cleaned for my move out I called MyClean.
Lauren answered the phone and worked with me to get a cleaner to my apartment in only a few short hours. My house cleaner worked extremely hard and made sure I was pleased with everything before moving to the next room.

I found MyClean on Yelp. The extreme range in Yelp reviews on MyClean was a bit concerning, but I decided to hire them anyway since they had more great reviews than terrible reviews and I am a glass-half-full type of person. ;) Unfortunately, my experience with MyClean was REALLY disappointing.
My apartment had not been professionally cleaned in a while, so I signed up for MyClean's 'Extended Clean' service, which was described to me as an in-depth 4-hour deep-clean of the common spaces in the apartment (I live with 2 roommates) - entryway, kitchen, living room, and bathroom. The first cleaning person they sent did the bare-bones minimum & apparently hadn't even TOUCHED the floors, which were the worst part to begin with. She departed an hour-and-a-half early, and left our front door unlocked. It also appeared that she used my roommate's nice washcloth in the bathroom to CLEAN THE BATHROOM, because it was covered in bleach and dirt stains so badly that it was ruined and had to be thrown away.
I contacted the manager, Michael, who was (thankfully) very responsive to my complaints and offered to send someone else out to complete the job I'd paid for. He even asked me to make a list indicating exactly what had been missed the first time around. Even though my list said "clean underneath/behind furniture" - such as the couch, dining room table, etc. - I returned home once again to huge dustballs underneath all the furniture. Mind you, none of this furniture is prohibitively hard to move - I am a petite female and on our hardwood floors, I can move it all with minimal effort singlehandedly. There's really no excuse. So ultimately, I came home after what at this point should have been 8 hours of professional deep-cleaning....and spent two hours cleaning the apartment myself.
Bottom line: MyClean has a great website and a great manager (he is polite & responsive), but clearly he needs to do an overhaul on his staff. I gave MyClean a second chance, hoping my first experience was just a fluke, but it appears that Michael has several people working for him who are ultimately going to drive his business into the ground with their work (or lack thereof).Comment from Michael S. of MyClean 5/16/2011

Okay, my apartment was becoming less than desirable over the past few months.. I'm not going to lie, it needed help, badly. Being lazy myself, I decided to hire whichever service seemed the easiest and you can't get much easier than paying online. The day finally came, I turned over my apartment to Liria A and just prayed that it'd come back at least clean enough to make it worth the money. When I got home that night, it was awesome. She went way above and beyond what I expected. The bathroom, the base boards, the fridge, oven, organized my book shelf to make me look cool and smart.. all of it, awesome.

I had my first MyClean cleaning a couple of days ago. The cleaner was very thorough and conscientious. I also liked that MyClean provides a checklist of everything that their cleaner is expected to do. After the cleaning the house was probably cleaner than it has ever been.

I decided to try MyClean and I will never use another cleaning service again. MyClean is unbelievably convenient and reasonably priced. I have to be honest, I was a bit hesitant to try a cleaning service like MyClean but I am glad I decided to give it a go. I came home to an apartment that was spotless and even smelled clean. Candice left a checklist of everything she did and it was completely accurate, even my toilet paper had a MyClean sticker on it. I found the MyClean staff to be extremely responsive and friendly and the clean was terrific. As I said before, sorry other cleaning services, MyClean is here to stay!

Needed a full cleaning of 2,000 sq foot apartment I leased for the summer before giving it back to the owner. Found MyClean through a friend and ordered the "Spring Cleaning".

Myclean was wonderfully easy to work with in scheduling, and in my case rescheduling, appointments. I was disappointed that I waited for forty minutes before my cleaner showed up. She said there was an investigation on the train and no one was moving. Having been stuck on a train before, I know this could very well happen.
She was as nice as she could be, assured me she would stay for the appropriate amount of time, and did a great job. Since this was an apartment I was moving out of I was more than happy to let someone else clean it and she left it in fantastic shape. We have been using MyClean since the fall and absolutely LOVE the company. It's not only really easy to make an appointment online, but you can also pay by credit card. I was amazed at how affordable a 2.5 hour cleaning is for NYC. Everyone that has come to our apartment has been very kind, very thorough, and ensures that everything is complete before leaving. I highly recommend this cleaning service if you are looking for a reputable cleaning company that makes it easy to schedule appointments :)

So I have tried at least 4 other cleaning services before I got to MyClean, and wow. So awesome.
1) Before anything else, they do a great job cleaning. I keep my apartment pretty clean/tidy to begin with, so I like to have them come in every few months or so just to spruce things up a bit and wow. Direct quote from my friend, "Wow, I didn't think this place could get cleaner, but it did. They did a great job." And it's true.
2) Affordable - I think they are VERY reasonably priced for their service, compared to other cleaners.
3) Ease - If they made it any easier to schedule cleans, I'm pretty sure my head would explode. To be fair - I've never actually met any of the cleaners who have come to my apartment. I just leave a key with the doorman and come home to a spotless apartment. Like magic.
I've never had any issues with their customer service. Have found all communication with them to be quite coridal. Haven't had any issues with things going "missing" either. I've used them 3 times so far and will use them again! -

Perfect.
The cleaning person showed up exactly on time. She did everything I asked her to do, and much more. She cleaned things that I had never even thought of cleaning. Extremely efficient. Very professional.
The customer service at the company is AMAZING! The owner and manager actually showed up at the end of the cleaning just to check the quality and make sure I was happy with it.
It doesn't get any better than that.

I will never use another service again, Myclean rocked my world! Two adorable Ukranian women showed up and cleaned just about every corner of my apartment. They were so thorough and efficient, making sure no spot was left untouched. They even did hospital corners on my duvet! I heart them.!

We'd been looking for a new cleaning service since we moved to Brooklyn a couple of months ago and found myclean through our building bulletin board.
We've used them a few times now and are really pleased. They have been on time (which is key considering we schedule our appts before we leave for work in the morning) and actually listened to a couple of special requirements that my wife added to the comments section online (she's a bit "sensitive" about how things are cleaned to say the least).

Beyond satisfied with them.
They cleaned my apartment for a fraction of my former cleaning lady charged..and they accept credit cards, as opposed to my former cleaning lady who required cash in an envelope...
Simply went online, scheduled an appointment and that was that. Left the key with my doorman.. and I came home to an apartment with a door hanger saying "your apartment was cleaned by MyClean.com". Walked in and the place was immaculate.. the dishes were cleaned, bathroom was completely cleaned.. they got all the dust/dirt off my curtains. Place looked brand new

This company is absolutely some of the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. I used them a total of 3 times. Here is my experience:
1st time - good website, the reason I chose to use this business. The ability to schedule an online cleaning is very useful. The cleaning went just fine, though I did have to mop my own floor, even after setting out the mop, and helping the maid find everything she needed. A decent cleaning, all around.
2nd time - Maid made a huge mess on my wooden floor, including a scuff mark that still hasn't come out. The maid also neglected to touch one of the bedrooms, and also did not mop the floor. The business owner, after several phone calls, agreed to send out another maid the next day to fix the problems. Other than having to deal with two sets of maids, and having to be in my apartment twice to meet them, it all worked out fine in the end.
3rd time - Scheduled a cleaning for 9am on a Saturday. Got up early (for me, on a Saturday) at 8am to get dressed, and wait for the maid. I finally called the company at 10:30, when the business owner immediately started berating me for "wasting his maid's time because he pays them by the hour." He also told me that he had sent me emails (not true), called my cell phone (not true), and that the maid had been "pounding on my door for 45 minutes" (not true). After he calmed down, he gave me the choice to cancel my cleaning, at the same-day cancellation rate of $50. Remember, this is a $50 charge for *no service being performed and wasting my time*. Eventually, he acceded and offered to clean my apartment at a discount, and that he would send maids over ASAP. I left keys and instructions with my doorman, and went out for a few hours. I returned home to an email from the owner saying that he could have someone there around 5. Obviously, I was trying to have my apartment cleaned by that evening, so I had to scramble to clean it myself.
When I looked up reviews of the business, I was naturally a little suspicious, and I've pasted his emailed response below. I would avoid doing business with MyClean at all costs from this point forward.

"Questioning my ethics and the ethics of the business I have worked hard to build has crossed the line.
Our relationship is done. We have no interest in working with you any longer.

I've been using MyClean for my apartment for over a year, and have been generally satisfied. I've had several different MyClean people come in due to staff changes, with varying but mostly satisfactory levels of attention to detail. With the person currently assigned to me for some time now, I arranged to be at home once during to let her know my instructions and priorities (floors before dishwashing, don't touch the musical instruments, etc). I know I hire them for a limited time, and they can't read my mind.
The scheduling web site is usable, and customer service over phone/email has been a class act, through such events as replacing a broken glass, one clean that I thought was hurried (got redone at no cost), and a cleaner who fell and got injured in my apartment -- the sort of things that are exactly why I hire a company for this job. Things will go wrong, and good service business is how it's handled and prevented from happening again. I plan to stay with MyClean as long as they keep this up, and recommend them to friends. I recently bought an apartment and did a full renovation so I was looking for a good cleaning lady. After asking the doormen/friends/colleagues for recommendations and trying a few different people I decided to give MyClean a whirl. All of the recommended cleaning people wanted over $100 to clean a 900 square foot, 1 bedroom apartment. This just is not affordable! My clean quoted me just under $70 and bonus... you can charge it! Hello amex points!
The cleaning lady showed up on time as promised and did a decent job. Was it an all star clean? No, probably not. But it was no better/worse than the woman who wanted $125! So end of the story is... I'm a buyer. It's easy, convenient and cheap. Thanks MyClean. -

I'm really impressed with MyClean, particularly in the way the CEO communicates when there is an issue. We had a false start with our first cleaning. Specifically the cleaner came to the door on her cell phone and remained on it the whole time keeping her from doing a thorough job.
The same day, I emailed Michael (the CEO) to let him know about our concerns. He was extremely responsive and assured me that it would never happen again and in fact let me know that the staff was reminded about cell phone usage while at a client's home.
Because I'm a big believer in how one handles situations, I decided to give them another try. I am so very glad I did. I came home today to a SPOTLESS house. They even cleaned my laptop...
I definitely plan on staying with MyClean and thoroughly recommend them.

This review is specifically for Mike, the owner of MyClean. I scheduled a cleaning with MyClean for this past Saturday (October 30). I previously used the service in early October, and was quite impressed with the quality of the cleaning I received. This weekend, due to some scheduling issues, the cleaner was late in arriving to my apartment, and there were some problems with the cleaning of my bedroom and home office. I contacted the company, and Mike handled each and every issue promptly and courteously. He even took the time to call me back himself on Saturday when I contacted his offices.
Although this cleaning wasn't perfect, there were aspects of it that were VERY good, and I will certainly be using the service again based upon the excellent customer service I received.
I will update this review once I have scheduled another cleaning. -

Despite the mixed reviews I felt confident utilizing MyClean's services because I am not usually one to nit pick or complain. I purchased the cleaning package as well as left out a mop, vacuum, broom, toilet brush, step chair and mop bucket as specified. Upon returning home the apartment initially looked worse than when I left it. There were white footsteps all over my dark floor causing me to mop the floor again myself. The coffee table in the middle of them room had obviously not been wiped down as there were several stains still on it. Similarly, there were stains still present on my toilet seat. The service provided was in no way worth the money I was charged. As I was not home at the time I am unsure how long the cleaner spent in my apartment but it appears unlikely that 2.5 hours were spent as the most basic things were not done such as wiping down the coffee table and toilet seat.
I sent a complaint to the company and included pictures of the condition my apartment was left in. I was offered a second appointment where a cleaner would address the problem areas I mentioned or 15% my next booked appointment. A few hours later I received an email saying that they had not initially opened the pictures that I sent them and:
" I was unable to open the pictures when I emailed you before but upon viewing, a 15% discount is not enough. The job done is completely unacceptable and certainly not the way we train our cleaners. I would be happy to either send someone back to your home to complete yesterday's job, as well as offer you am additional free clean."
I scheduled the second appointment. However, when I returned home ALL STAINS were still present and not addressed. The only difference I noticed is that my bed had been made. I submitted another complaint saying the problem was not rectified and have yet to receive a response for over a week now. I initially inquired as to how I could redeem the free clean and have not received a response either.
I am very disappointed with the service I received and do not plan on utilizing My Clean again.

Wow, I am so impressed that I don't even know where to begin. Booking was obviously super easy - go online, put in your info, pick a time and you're done. No human needed. It reminds me of the first time I fell in love with http://delivery.com.
I think the price is completely reasonable. My one bedroom was $62.50 + $10 (cleaning supplies - optional) + $12 tip. So we're talking a total of $90 including tax. Not terrible. I mean, if you live in the suburbs you are probably crapping yourself at the price, but for Manhattan that is not bad at all.
The woman who cleaned my apartment was so nice (thank you, Annette!). She spoke English, was friendly and worked hard. She was here for a little under 3 hours, and honestly, she did the best cleaning job I've ever had. Now, this was not a deep cleaning. I mean, I didn't pay for a deep cleaning but I got one. I've paid other services (check my Yelp reviews) 3x as much for a deep cleaning of only a my kitchen and bathroom that didn't come even close to what the MyClean lady was able to accomplish. She literally got every nook and cranny.
I'm just so impressed that I could go on and on...
Since any money is too much for me to spend weekly, I don't think I will do this more than once a month, BUT I really want to!
Oh, and I should also point out that pretty much any time you want is available, including Saturdays. I booked a couple of days ago for my Saturday appointment with no problem. When they leave they put a little sticker on your toilet paper like in hotels, they leave mints, and most of all, they leave you really really happy.
I'm a THRILLED customer and will absolutely use them again soon! -

I love that you can take care of everything online - schedule, pay, etc. It's easy, fast and convenient. There were no issues at all trying to find information or to book my appointment - and I must add they have very reasonable rates. I had mixed feelings about this after my first appointment but boy did they redeem themselves.
I booked my first appointment for 8am so either my husband or I could meet the cleaner before leaving for work. I had to leave for a meeting so my husband waited for her to arrive. At 8:20 the cleaner finally showed up. My husband already left for his meeting and the cleaner is with the doorman trying to get in (we have pretty strict security at our building). I finally get off the subway and get all of these messages from my husband and the cleaner. I called the building at allowed her access. I might add it's a little nerve wracking allowing someone you've never met into your home without you being there. To my surprise, when I arrived home that evening I found a door hanger saying your place was cleaned by Myclean and the place was spotless (and nothing was missing or destroyed). She left a detailed list of the items that were cleaned and we even had stickers on our toilet paper saying the bathroom was cleaned.
We decided we would use them again (even after the tardiness) because they did such a good job. I received a request to take an online survey to receive a discount on my next cleaning so I did. I explained the tardiness was a bit annoying but we were happy with the service. Within 1-2 hours I received an email apologizing for the tardiness and that it was unacceptable and they would address the issue with the cleaner. Not only did I receive a prompt response - they doubled my discount for the inconvenience! I was shocked. It's very difficult to find a company that provides ANY level of customer service these days and it was very refreshing to know Myclean went above and beyond.

Excellent customer service, wonderful cleaning woman, and an auto payment option make this company my favorite cleaning service. The woman who cleans our apartment does an excellent job and I love coming home after her visit because the apartment is spotless and smells like heaven.

I've used MyClean for a little over 6 months now and I will continue to use them because 1) it's easy to schedule appointments online, 2) the cleaners are punctual and show up early sometimes, 3) I can use my credit card instead of leaving cash or forgetting to leave cash around for the cleaners, 4) they ask you to review each appointment and you can get a discount for the next clean, 5) bonded, insured at a great price. The only missing star for my rating is that the quality of work varies. Sometimes I am amazed at how clean it is and other times I see obvious missing spots. No one is perfect and there's always the next appointment.

This place is awesome. Scheduling services is done all online. It appeared that there were no more available slots for the following evening, so I called after hours just to see if anyone could help me over the phone and the guy answered. He was able to schedule someone! The cleaner arrived right on time and spent 4 HOURS scrubbing and cleaning my place. She was nice and effecient, and my apartment has never been so sparkling. An overall amazing job, and I recommend this service to everyone.

I have used them twice so far and plan on using them again in the near future. It was very easy to book (i prefer booking online - so much easier for me). I ended up having to reschedule my appointment and so I called the owner who was very pleasant and helpful. Myclean did a good job of getting my apt. clean and I'd say the price was very reasonable. I would recommend this place.

Finally! An apartment cleaning service with the ability to control everything online. And what a great job cleaning my apartment! I was a bit skeptical when a friend told me about the new site, but when my cleaning lady never showed a few weeks ago, I gave it a shot. The ability to pay by credit card and schedule regular cleans (weekly, I'm a clean freak!) sold it for me. And the clean was AMAZING! Nice touches with the mints on my kitchen counter and the stickers on the folded toilet paper. I'm telling all my friends about this service (so I can get a free clean soon!)
