The Muttart has become one of my favourite Edmonton attractions. It is beautiful to visit in all seasons. Since the pavilions are indoors, it is the perfect place to visit when the weather is not so great. The pavilions are climate controlled and make it feel like spring and summer, event when it is snowing outside. The exterior landscape becomes a great place for a walk outside when Mother Nature decides to be gentler with us.

The feature pavilion is always worth seeing. A lot of work and care goes into setting up the exhibit, and it really shows. The other three pavilions stay more or less the same, but depending on the time of year different plants may be blooming.

Culina now runs the restaurant, so you can have a great snack or meal before or after your adventure. Don't forget to bring a camera. If you visit often, you  may want to contemplate getting a pass - it will pay for itself.

Well theres nothing here? Its just no bang..pretty lame...The admission is not worth the expereience. Should be a enter by donation thing. I went once and was so bored then took a date another time think hey why not...stop wrong move even she hated it... I cant stress this enough its so bland nothing to impressive...maybe the actual pyramids themselves those look pretty cool ..near christmas they have lights on them. That looks pretty cool.

The Muttart is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. It's also a perfect place to bring visiting relatives or friends. I've visited the Muttart Conservatory several times over the years and I've enjoyed each visit.

Each pyramid represents a different climate - tropical, temperate, and arid. The fourth pyramid changes all the time and features seasonal flowers.

I usually visit the temperate pyramid last because all of the other ones are unbelievably humid. So when you visit the temperate climate you get a nice gust of coldness.

My favorite pyramid is the temperate one because it is resembles Canada and I am in awe of the massive and beautiful trees.

The pyramids can get quite humid so it's best to go in Spring, Autumn, or Winter!

My only qualm is with the cafe, the food is over priced and not very good quality. I love the gift store as well because it usually has a diverse selection of gnomes!

I haven't been to the Muttart Conservatory since my brother got married; he got his pictures done in each of the pyramids.  The pictures turned out great and that was because of the beautiful flowers and plant life that can found in each of the four pyramids.  I'm sure you're thinking, "If you've seen it once, you've seen it before," but I find it a great place to take a date and walk around.  Curtis and I went there a little while ago.  The two of us walking around in these exotic environments; it was like being on vacation without actually leaving the city.
Every Sunday, I think until December 20th, the Muttart Conservatory puts on live Christmas music and there are crafts and activities for the little ones to do.  Hearing the live music really put me in the mood for the big day.  I'm not really into Christmas but my heart kind of melted after listening to the festive music.

Admission for adults runs at $9.75, which is pretty good for a get-away vacation.

Like I mentioned before, if you have a weeding you should totally take your pictures there.  If you know anyone who is new in town or who is visiting they would love to see this play.  I took a family friend here a while ago and he really had a good time taking pictures and posing in front of these exotic plants; it was a fun day for him.

Many people see the glass pyramids and have no idea what they are. I suggest that you check them out at least once and take in the experience.

If you go in winter it feels pretty surreal walking around in these tropical forests. Each pyramid provides a different experience than the one before it and even though plants sound boring to me I actually enjoyed taking it all in.

I learned that people can come here for wedding pictures and that seems like a cool idea. The plants will provide some great scenery.

This is a beautiful place to spend an afternoon... Especially if the weather is crappy (which is an often occurrence in Edmonton!).

The Muttart is filled with tropical gardens which smell, feel and sound like the real thing. It isn't cheesy or anything though. It is actually quite captivating.

My dad and step mom got married here and it was a really cool experience. The place was beautiful, and I can imagine that the price wasn't too bad either (my parents are on the frugal side...).

Do you want to get married in Hawaii but don't think you can afford it? Call up the Muttart.

The prices for admission are pretty decent too: $5.25 for a child admission, $10.50 for an adult, $8.00 for a youth or senior. There are also annual passes you ca get if you happen to fall in love with this scenic conservatory.

The Muttart Conservatory is a pretty unique experience.

It's really cool to go in the winter because it's like you are entering another world when you walk into the different pyramids.

The climate is different in each pyramid and the the exotic plant life in each is exquisite and breathtaking.  Each one is a different experience and it's really neat.

I've seen quite a few wedding parties come here to get their pictures done and I can imagine that they turned out pretty nice.

They have a little cafeteria where you can grab a snack or a drink after (or in between) the pyramids.

If you haven't been yet, check it out.  It's pretty neat.

As good as an indoor plant attraction can be. Very well organized, temperature controlled and confusion-free layouts. Good for a visit once a year but no more than that, unless you love plants.

I love the Muttart. If you're new to Edmonton and have wondered what those glass pyramids are shining in the river valley, go check it out. Or if you've lived in Edmonton all your life but never made it there, you don't know what you're missing. It's a beautiful oasis in the middle of our city. These giant greenhouses are a beautiful stroll on a winter's day, through temperate, arid and tropical climates. There are all sorts of beautiful plants and eco-systems maintained by city staff and passionate botanists. I love to head over here in February or March when winter is really getting to me. Unfortunately, the Muttart is closed for renovations until the beginning of '09, so check out the website before you go. This is a great place to take kids and out-of-towners. A holiday away from home, right in the centre of your city.
