Beautiful deconsecrated church moved stone by stone up to this spot near Cegep St Laurent, near Du College Metro, near Pendeli's pizza! The space itself is stunning, especially the raw wooden carvings of the angels along the archways of the nave and the lofty brassy broken old organ. Apparently some teachers bring their classes up to teach them from the organ loft which seats 60 and overlooks the museum. These teachers are clearly awesome, and so are the people at the museum behind smart collaborations like these.

The museum's collection of Quebec craft is wonderful, and could be a seriously inspiring resource for contemporary artisans, but with a few hundred (max) items on display and over 10 000 in storage, it's frustrating to know how much we're missing out on. Still, well worth checking out!

Very interesting museum in St Laurent, five minute walk from Du College Metro, with an eclectic mix of exhibitions featuring past and present artisans and ateliers, contemporary art and group shows from cultural communities.
