Murphy's Submarine is the definition of the classic submarine shop, and is hands down the best value you'll find for a sandwich anywhere in the region and GTA.
'Murphs' as it's referred to in this area of town offers all the traditional submarine sandwiches you've enjoyed throughout the years. The traditional cold cut trio, the meatball sandwich, turkey, ham, whatever your appetite desires. While the look and decor feels somewhat dated, it's like that for a reason. This is an owner operated establishment that has been located on Dundurn, feeding patrons of West Hamilton for years.
Unlike a Quizno's or Subway, where it feels as though you can't purchase a sandwich and drink for under $10 dollars, Murphy's Submarine offers comparable items and taste at a great price. At Murphy's you'll pay under $5 dollars for a large sub, and the typical beverage costs only $1. In an industry that has razor thin margins, this is an impressive feat on it's own. Simply put, it's extremely rare in this day and age to find prices this low. More importantly, the food is in no way compromised by the outstanding value you receive by eating at 'Murphs'.
One other nice perk of grabbing a sub or sandwich from Murphs is the friendly banter and conversation that can be had with Murph himself. He's a welcoming, funny and very good spirited person who enjoys creating whatever your appetite desires!
