Best wings I've ever had?  Probably not.  But the wide variety of delicious flavours and the service we received will definitely bring me back to Mug Shotz.

We came on a busy Wednesday night for the wing special--12 for $6.  Though it was pretty packed when we arrived, finding a table wasn't a problem.  Our server was prompt taking our drink orders and made sure our glasses were full throughout the night.  I was sure we'd be waiting awhile for our food due to the volume of wing orders, but was pleasantly suprised when they arrived less than 20 minutes after ordering, all 6 dozen in various flavours.  None of the flavours disappointed, but my favourites by far were the Honey Hot and the Honey Mustard.  YUM!!  Salt & Pepper ones were fantastic too!

The location leaves a lot to be desired, but the bar itself is nice with a very attentive and hard-working staff.  Definitely check this place out and enjoy their famous wings!

Tried this place based on reviews, suggestions and it being #1 for wings in Calgary on http://hotwings.ca.

I was not disappointed! This place looks like a dive bar and I guess it is. Came here on wing Wednesday, the place was packed but we were still able to get a table. I agree with Neil m.'s description of the folks in this place, it was a mix but I liked it. I dig unpretentious places.

We had a couple of beers (they do not have draught) and a couple of orders of wings. One bite of these wings and we both new this place has scooped all the rest. Killer. We loved the mug shotz salt and pepper, the server said they were a popular choice and I can see why. The service was great, our server was friendly and relaxed.

There are more flavours to try, and the server mentioned that the dill pickle wings come with actual slices of dill pickle on them - heck yeah!

The only downside is the location is a bit out in the boondocks, but other than that this place has it going on.

Went for 25cent  wings last night.

Best wing place yet, with 30 FLAVORS!

we split (between us) 3 plates of wings, as I found out they come 12 to a plate.

Flavors we tried: # 1 Grand Marnier-How unique is that flavor? Syrupy sweet and crunchy with a kiss of sesame seeds, a piece of poultry heaven in your mouth.

    # 2 Louisianna Parmesan-Spicy chicken wing with a flavor attitude and smooth parmesan hug finish, that disorientated our pallets, then brought us to a yummy reality.

#3 Dill Pickle-How odd was that?-you get the surreal dill tast with a hearty, crunchy, and juicy chicken wing flavor behind it, that satisfies and tells your tummy this is a new taste explosion that will beg for another, and another, and another.

Service was good, and the place was a "dive", but very clean and spacious on the inside.

I am a fan, and would recommend this, and I will be there any wing weds I can manage!

They serve the best wings I've ever had. It's in kind of a neat location off Ogden Road in an industrial strip mall, nothing pretentious. Beer selection is pretty standard. It's a shame that the kitchen closes kind of early. I went here around 9-10 on a Friday night but the kitchen was already closed so no wings. I've been here a couple of times and the lady who owns the place is nice and isn't above chatting with the customers.

Coldest Beer in town and the best wings ever!!  Have you ever heard of or tried "dill pickle wings?"  Just 2 words can describe them  Fan-Tastic!!!
As for the rest of the food, the prices are good and the taste is even better. Sure its just the usual fare you would find at most pubs but there is something special about mug shotz food. Yum Yum.

The patrons at the bar are mostly middle aged blue collar workers with very little problems ever occuring. They just want to drink, talk and laugh.

Staff at mug shotz are terrific and very attentive. Your not sitting there with an empty glass or bottle for long, if ever.

Booze prices are really decent, $2.75 happy hour on domestic beer and on friday $3.25 coronas!!  You just can't beat these prices now-a-days!!!I'm not sure about the price on hi-balls or cocktails cause I don't really drink them.

The atmosphere is very pleasant but the one minor concern I have is it can be a little dark, which is fine in the evening but during lunch it can be a little hard to read the menu.

Overall, Mug Shotz is a great place you should try and you will probably keep go back. I know I do.

We have been on the hunt for the best wings in Calgary and I think we finally hit the jackpot! Mug Shotz is in a small strip mall across from the Crossroads Farmers Market. Don't let the outer facade fool you, great wings are to be had inside this little joint. Huge, juicy, crispy, lovely wings in tons of spectacular flavours. Louisiana Garlic Parm, Pomegranate Chipotle, Lemon Pepper, Dill Pickle, Pineapple Mandarin Sweet and Sour, Greek...and the list goes on. Yuuummmmmy!. Great service and prices are a bonus.

This pub is situated in the middle on an industrial wasteland in Ogden - that being said - they do serve good wings.  I used to see these guys on http://hotwings.ca but not anymore.  One common thread i read is that patrons insist that the beer is always 'cold' ... beer is always served cold... this isn't mexico...  anyway.  the wings are good and the beer is just beer - the location leaves a lot to be desired and the owners of this place obviously take pride in their establishment.
