Review from Amy W.
Medicine Hat, AB
I like the food and menu selection at Moxie's (although the fancy schmancy names for the drinks are a little confusing..) but I found the waitresses a little awkward. My friend and I went here one night for dinner (I had a salmon sandwich and a red-bull margarita) and the food and drink were really good. The waitress was nice but she kind of had a "used car salesmen" vibe about her when it came to the cocktails and dessert. You know, pushing us to buy more drinks and "why not curb your sweet tooth" line. We got the bill and were waiting to pay the waitress and she just never came back (we were sitting outside so maybe she forgot?). So I went to the front and there was a group of waitresses and a man and I said "I'm not sure where to pay but I don't need change..so here" and handed it to them and the waitresses looked all stunned like they too didn't know where I should pay. The man said "no problem thats fine" but the girls were still just staring.
Maybe there was some sort of training orientation going on for the waitresses because why else would they all be standing at the front when its full in the restaurant? Whatever the case it made us uncomfortable but because of the poor selection of restaurants in Medicine Hat we might have to go back again and give it another try.
