I've been to Moxies in Guelph 5 times and each time has been spectacular. The service is outstanding, the atmosphere is great and the food has always been excellent. I would recommend it to anyone that is looking to have a great fun restaurant experience!!!

As a rule, I avoid chains but sometime company trumps preference and they cannot be avoided. The good news is, of all the chain restaurants Moxie's is one of my favourites. Their food is consistently good (I am particularly partial to Ginger Teriyaki Rice Bowl), the atmosphere is one where you'd feel comfortable dressing up a bit, and I always love a dimly lit leather booth for a bit of privacy, and this place is full of them.
Stand out features of this location:
- High ceilings
- Nice washrooms
- Smaller than many of the Moxie's I've been to
Our server was friendly, helpful and attentive without being over bearing. This weekend was the first time I've ever had a male server at Moxie's, every other time it's been an attractive and scantily clad girl with her bits on display, hair down and heels that seem impossible to pull off for a full 8-10 hour serving shift.
The bottle of house red we ordered between the four of us was tasty and the waiter did the usual show us the bottle, open it and let us taste it, etc. but he did not make any attempt to fill our glasses up throughout the meal (not sure if this is standard at Moxie's or not).
Anyway, like any Moxie's, this place carries consistently delicious food and a good atmosphere. Great for spending time with good friends.
Tip: Don't order The Steak...their menu is full of delicious flavourful options but their steaks just can't compare to The Keg's steak and you're paying about the same price.Listed in: Chain Restaurants, Guelph
