Dr. Michelle Naruszewicz was recommended to me by family members, and I've been her patient for several years now, starting from when her clinic was still in Market Mall. On Saturday 27 Aug 2011 I picked up my computer + reading glasses (new Nikon OnLine progressive lenses in an existing Versace frame I kept from a few years back), and now I can see my computer screen better without squinting. Uh-oh, this means I'm going to be online even more!

I'm a picky consumer. I ask a lot of questions and expect intelligent answers. I also really appreciate great customer service - the kind that authentically caters to my needs and interests in a focused, considerate and meaningful way. In my experience this is quite rare. I learned from my father that we should vote with our dollars. It is perhaps the best ways to ensure that the businesses that deserve your loyalty survive and thrive. I voted for Mountain View Optometry.
My eye exam was comprehensive and detailed. I particularly liked that my optometrist, Brent Hopfauf, did a great job at blending the professional with the social. This allowed me to feel like my eye care concerns were getting the professional care they deserved while I as a customer got the service and attention that made me feel valued. The staff seamlessly moved me through the process while explaining every step along the way. The team seemed knowledgeable about their roles and the service they were providing. Thoughtful and considerate, their warm manner made me feel right at home.
I left the exam session with a clear understanding of my eye care recommendations and visited their well equipped and modern eyewear show room. I could tell that they carried only the most modern styles - no junk here thank you very much. Once again, the staff was attentive and helpful. They helped me zero in on the factors that were important in my selection of glasses. After trying several types and styles, I found exactly what I was looking for.
Mountain View Optometry delivered on my expectations quality, selection and service. I found their prices fair and reasonable for a professional style boutique. As a bonus, I received 10% off my purchase because I lucked into a scratch-and-win promotion they had. Mountain View Optometry has earned my loyalty.

I've tried to make sure I am on top of my eye health, since it isn't as torturous as going to the dentist, Mountian View Optometry has made that easy. The office itself is new and modern. There is a whide range of beautiful designer frames, not a lot of cheaper options though. They have a good assortment of reading magazines, coffee and water in the waiting area. The reseptionist and staff are quite friendly and efficient. Their prices for contacts are standard. I once had to exchange one type of unopened contacts for another and there was no issue. They did undercharge me once, so they tacked the difference on to my next vist, but it wasn't a big deal.
Dr. Michelle Naruszewicz, who I see, makes my visits so easy going! She explains everything thouroughly to me, even showing me pictures of what she is talking about! For instance I had minor inflammation under my eye lids, she recommended only what was needed to treat it and nothing else. She is what makes me want to come back and what makes me want to take care of my eyes.
I highly recommend visiting Mountian View, they will take care of you well!

Established in 1998
Dr. Thomas Wilk and Dr. Michele Naruszewicz started two optometry locations in North Calgary, followed by the opening of Mountain View Optometry in Cochrane in September of 2000. They opened Mountain View's second location in Northwest Calgary in March 2008.
Meet the Business Owner: Michele N.
Dr. Michele Naruszewicz practices optometry at her Northwest Calgary location. Born and raised in the Detroit area, she attended the Michigan College of Optometry and graduated with High Distinction in 1994. She then did a one year residency program in hospital-based optometry in Lexington, Kentucky, shortly thereafter moving to Alberta to start private practice with her husband Tom.
