The aroma first hits you a couple of blocks away - then you walk into the bagel store. It is hot, sticky and humid. The smell of proofing dough...

Friend used to live a few blocks from this place so woke up early a few mornings to get fresh bagels. I'm not a regular consumer of bagels because they are so heavy but fresh bagels just can't be beat.
I can't remember (common theme in my reviews) which bagels I tried, but they were are magically delicious, especially topped with either smoked salmon cream cheese or my personal fav, condensed milk. Yes I'm sure it's absolutely weighs a ton on the calories scale, but who cares, it's down-to-the-last-crumb good!
