One of the best boutiques I have ever come across. Originally went in to buy a wedding gift and left with new shoes, two dresses and a purse. Carries amazing selection of clothing for both men and women as well as delightful knickknacks for gifts for any occasion. The service was great - not overbearing but polite and helpful.

Will be a lifetime shopper. Carries women's line Rachel Mara, who is actually the daughter of the family run business.

Next time you have a fashion sense lacking guy friend, take them here. A far cry from the hoodies and skate shoes that pervade 4th avenue.

The day we arrived in Vancouver, we came to Kitsilano first. While walking around we spotted this store and started walking over to head inside. At first, we thought it was a baby store and almost didn't go in, but after noticing some furniture and what looked like adult clothing, we decided to check it out.

They have a very eclectic collection of items. Housewares, office doodads, baby clothing, shoes and finally, mens and womens clothing. The staff members were all very helpful, but maybe a little too helpful. What I mean by that is, they try to push the sale too much. Well, at least this one girl in particular did. She kept telling me that everything looked so great on me and I definitely should get it. Thanks, but... Come on! Everything can't look great and they didn't.

I did end up picking out a great little black tunic and it was 50% thanks to boxing week!

If I had a more interesting life, Moule would be my go-to store for beautiful things.  They have a diverse group of designers, some trusty standards and some smaller labels, and the combination makes for a well balanced selection.   Although good sense usually wins out (cause it ain't cheap), I'm often tempted to buy everything I touch.

Although I haven't put this theory to the best, I'm pretty sure I could do 100% of my Christmas shopping at Moule.  Beautiful steak knives for dad...check.  Clever books for brother...check.  Darling kiddie clothes and toys for the nieces...check.  And for my trouble, probably a fine ass pair of earrings.

They are also very dog friendly, which I very much appreciate.  The amount of love and attention they paid my pups almost shut down the store.

    Great store and friendly SA's!

Great shopping stop when you're doing the West 4th shopping trip and it carries a bit of everything from unique home accessories to kids, men's and women's fashions.  Mostly contemporary labels here - Vince, DVF, etc... for clothing and current denim lines like J Brand, 7FAM, COH, and Joe's.

The style is right up my alley but I must admit that I mostly window shop here.  I can get better prices/more selection in a single brand  from the American stores online, so as nice as the associates are, I tend to buy elsewhere.

A minor annoyance is how their changerooms are set up - quite small and you're forced to leave it to see yourself in the big mirror - never a good thing on a fat shopping day ;)

I can't remember where I read about this store, but I had it on my list of things to visit when I was in Vancouver.  The shop is awesome, with huge, warehouse ceilings.  It's bright and open, yet I felt like I was in a little boutique in Berlin on hip Kastanienalle.  There are cool clothes and knickknacks you don't need but would enjoy having.  It's like the cool store "Merci" in Paris - you should just stop by and enjoy looking!

My boyfriend bought an honest-to-goodness head-to-toe (and, perhaps most notably, fashionable) outfit from Moule based entirely on a mannequin he saw in the window.

This is a guy who can't match a pair of socks in the morning.

    Nuff said.

(Oh, and while he was shopping for duds, I picked up a copy of "Hot Chicks With Douchebags" by Jay Louis. Brilliant.)

Moule has been one of my favourite stores since high school. I'd come here with a friend and we'd spend all of ten minutes in the shop, gawking at all the beautiful pieces, and then another five hours coveting everything that we had seen.

To this day, I still think back to this delicate necklace. The delicate chain was long and interspersed with little hoops, connecting yet separating each chain. The effect was whimsical, fun and dainty. Yes, I am pining for it.

They offer unique gifts for yourself or a friend. Everything stands out. They have since expanded since those early days and now carry children's wear and toys.

Coming from San Francisco where space is precious, the sheer size of Moule blew me away.  Also, it is extraordinarily white.  The product mix ranges from high-end home items, to jewelry and accessories, to apparel.  There are a few reasonable finds, but most everything has a steep price tag.  There were definitely a few pieces that I was coveting, but in the end there was nothing that ended up in my suitcase.  Very nice staff, one of whom was even looking after one of his customer's children.  They most likely have a loyal customer following with a large disposable income.

Moule is one of those shops that I don't go out of my way go there but whenever I am in the hood I like to stop in and have a boo around.   They have in my opinion one of the better collection of Jonathan Adler in Vancouver, and I keep threatening to by the Horse but find I would rather spend 165 dollars on something else.  They also have a nice package of clothing for the gents with such brands as Boss Red label, Joe's Jeans, Sevens, Ted Baker, acme, you know the usual suspects.  I did notice that they had two of the most beautiful Ipals I have seen to date.  I smell a holiday gift coming up?  Once they expanded into the space next door they started to cary excellent children's things.  Fun little jumpers with punk-rock slogans on them, ugly dolls, and tents.

This store is one of my faves to browse in. I browse because it is full of fun accesories for yourself and your home, but the price and the need for the items often deter me. I mean a chemistry set of shot glasses is hard to pass up but do I really need it? Maybe! The clothing is beautiful if you can afford high end prices, but sales do tend to pop up which makes the pieces a little easier to put your hands on. I give this store 3 stars because even with the amazing collection of items, I have almost always found the staff to be rude and unwilling to acknowledge the customers who may not fit the mold of their ideal buyer. Funny that- moule means to mold or shape.

This ''boutique" is pretty shnazzy. It has all sort of things and it is also pretty pricey. They have a kids section and also a pet section which is pretty cool. I haven't bought anything here because I think I could get a better deal elsewhere. However as other reviewers mentioned, it's great to window shop.

This store totally sucks! Don't ever buy anything by Rachel Mara! This line of clothing is overpriced and terrible quality! I bought a coat on sale there and ALL the buttons fell off with just three wears. When I called to complain the woman actually said to me, "well it was a four hundred dollar jacket marked down to 100." Like I was supposed to be grateful to get a piece of crap for a mere 100 dollars!  Then she told me to buy new buttons and take it to a tailor. Finally I got someone there to agree that buttons shouldn't fall off after three wears, so I brought it back and they sewed new ones on only to have them ALL fall off again. I was going to get it fixed again but now the fabric looks so old and worn that I've chalked this one up to experience and will never shop there again. From the crap quality and design of the Rachel Mara
line, I get the sense that it is a house line and that the designer is one of the owners who woke up and decided one day to be a designer. Serious made in china crap. Do yourself a favor and go spend your money at the many beautiful boutiques in Vancouver who sell merchandise for the same prices but that comes from France or Sweden, and won't fall apart the second time you wear it.

Moulé is the kind of store you'd hit if you were looking for a unique gift, and you might come away with what you were looking for, but you'd definitely pay a lot for it.  Everything here tends to be rather expensive and a little on the overly precious/trendy side.  They do carry quite a nice selection of clothing and some interesting jewelry along with their home decor items, but I rarely see anything in here that I really fall for.  That's not to say that their products are not worthwhile, they do have some very nice things, but I tend to feel more like I'm in a museum in this store rather than having an inviting shopping experience.  But, if you're looking for something adorable for a new baby, or for that baby's mom, you just might find it here.
