Review from Nicole F.
I ended up here with a friend about a week ago for lunch. It was pretty dead inside... or maybe it seemed really dead because the place is fairly big and it was a Monday. Anyways, we were seated immediately and had a very attentive and personable server. She listed off all the specials for us and disappeared into the back to bring us our drinks.
My friend ordered the Irish Stew and I went with the Baked Veggie Wrap.
He reported that the stew tasted okay. Apparently there was kind of an odd flavour to it (like, NOT an Irish flavour) and he could tell it was just microwaved and probably cooked the night before. He finished it in about 3 seconds because it was mostly gravy. It had a few potatoes and meat chunks and some peas and carrots. He is a pretty big guy though, so maybe the amount would have been good for a tiny person.
My baked veggie wrap was awesome until I got to the middle... where it was ice cold. It had rice, cheese, artichokes, pesto, spinach, salsa and it was wrapped in a tomato tortilla! Not a huge problem though, I waved our server over and she took it back for a few extra minutes in the oven. Once it was piping hot I gobbled it down. Mmm! The fries were nice and crispy and seasoned too. I was stuffed!
I'd come back, but I'm never in the area.. so, maybe? -

You lot are lucky that you actually ate there: I went there at lunch time yesterday together with my guest - a mother with a small baby in a baby carriage. The minute we stepped through the door we were told by a very officious waitress that minors (anyone under 19) were not allowed in as it is a licensed restaurant.
Now come on! Not only do we have ridiculous bylaws in North Vancouver District, but we have rude serving staff: is she seriously worried that the restaurant is going to be busted because two adults (63 and 40 years old) are eating lunch and happen to have a young baby with them?
My reaction was to protest, and when the rude waitress blurted out the rule again, I retorted by saying that I will never eat in this restaurant. Not only that but I will tell all my friends not to eat there either.
Star rating: don't insult me!

I've only been here a couple times after recently moving into the Delbrook neighbourhood, once for dinner and once for lunch. The food is overall quite good and the menu is decent, stocked with all your standard pub fare. It's quite dark inside but the patio is large and luckily, when we ate outside for lunch there wasn't anyone out there smoking (I would have a different opinion on the patio if that wasn't the case).
I've never gone with the intention of a night out, only for a meal, but whenever I drive past on a Friday or Saturday night the parking lot is packed. I'm guessing the place has its regulars, though I don't know that I'd ever fall into that category.
For me, not bad if I want a no-frills meal close to home and don't feel like heading down the mountain. -

This is an inexpensive bar/pub with indoor and outdoor seating. The menu doesn't hold any surprises, but it's got your basics covered.
Hamburgers, Fries, some pasta dishes, a few good sammies, wings and french onion soup.
Nothing outstanding but it's a good sized space and I imagine it gets a fun crowd.
Sorry to report though, that it is kind of old and dusty and could use a pretty good going over by a meticulous helper.
also the bathroom was a bit gross. -

This virtually unknown place (to all non-North Shore residents) has a lot going on. Depending on the night you might find intoxicated karaoke singing, a big sports game, lots of action at the snooker table, or live music.
I don't consider this to be a restaurant, though they do have a lengthy menu. My experience with the food has not passed the appies. I've tried some very greasy onion rings (pretty good) and goat cheese. The beer selection is decent, and is priced about a loonie cheaper than what you'd pay on Granville. Wine and full bar also available. -

I went here to celebrate my bday & watch the hockey game with some friends. The manager was very accomodating to seat our large group right in front of the TVs! Drinks were okay. My friend and I shared the antipasto plate, which was pretty much a bunch of gross cold cuts. Then we ordered the hot wings. These were so spicy and we could not even eat them. We tried giving them away to the other people in the group and they could not eat them either because of the spiciness. I suggest you don't order food from this place but drinks are okay!
