Good greasy spoon breakfast place, nice small town attitude and ambiance. Food is good, simple and their blueberry pancakes are the best. The only bad thing I have experienced here is that sometimes the service is a bit slow or the girl at the counter is having a bad day so you get a generous side of attitude with your order.
One more thing... the place says "all-day breakfast" but they close early, so it's usually a early breakfast/brunch kind of place. -

Pancakes ok
Bacon dry
Sausages small and tasteless
Coffee seems over roasted and not filtered well. You should have seen the bottom of the coffee cup. Yuck.
The restaurant is a dump and small. There is no frills and there is eating in a dump. Chairs have a nice wiggle. Who keeps a damn Chester freezer in the seating area. Dump.
Service was awful. Would it kill them to smile. Had a 20 something waitress with longer brown hair ....if you hate your job that much dont take it out on your customers. Quit.
Heaven forbid if you show up when it's sunny. Freakin blinding and hot. I ate with my sunglasses on.
HEY OWNER. SPLURGE FOR $100 IN BLINDS.
wrap up: over priced crappy food and environment. Go to McDonald's. Better food, restaurant and servers. -

Very inconsistent indeed! -

For an All Day Breakfast Place, they are closed about 3pm-.- before 3pm they are packed constantly! It is a fairly priced breakfast, and quite tasty too. I tried blueberry banana pancakes which were delicious, and trust me you will pack some for to go since the portions are huge! Omletes are also decent. You will probably wait for your food for about 40min, so don't go there starving.
The only thing I don't like is that the place is so small, and the kitchen is so close to the dining area that you can smell all the toast they burn! -

This used to be a great unique culinary experience but they have changed the hash recipe. Instead of using fried potatos they are now using deep fried potato cubes in their hash! It is disgusting!
Totally ruined a fine recipe and a great North Vancouver restaurant ! -

This summer I went to this place before placing my kids into a half day program at JBCC. The breakfasts are resonably priced and good. We ordered two dishes- I loved the omlettes, the scrambled eggs, and the pancakes- to share. I had coffee and the kids had water. I found the semi-self service reasonable and the place kid friendly.
For the price and relative freshness and nice hot food, what more can you ask for? Oh and they also had newspapers and mags we could read while waiting. This isn't a gourmet place; it is just a reasonably priced good enough place to drop by any morning you don't feel like cooking. We'll be back !! -

Don't get me wrong, I really like this place, but there is one thing I find very weird about it. It doesn't matter if the place is so packed that there are people standing next to you waiting for you to finish your toast or if only half of the tables are occupied, they would always tell me that I would have to wait at least 45mins to get my meal. I wonder if it is a rule for them to make sure you will be hungry enough to finish your plate once they put it on your table. Anyway, the food is always fresh, the eggs are all free range, the hot chocolate is good and the staff is friendly. The low prices are the main reason why I am willing to wait so long each time. Where else can you get to feel so comfortably full for so little money in LoLo? Nowhere, that is the answer.

This is one of my favourite places for breakfast in Lower Lonsdale. They serve up eggs, bacon, hash browns, cheaply and simply, with a side of coffee, newspapers, and people watching. It has a nice old-fashioned vibe to it, from the sign to the wooden chairs and chalkboard menu. You order at the counter, find a seat, and they bring out the food when it's ready.
And it's good food in generous proportions, with a little grease to help it all slide down the gullet.Listed in: North Shore Eats, Lower Lonsdale

Quick update: I went back the other day, noticed it was half empty which is very, very strange. But still I was happy I would be able to get a seat. I went in behind another group who held the door open for me. I got up to the till, ordered and was told there cash only now. Very rudely that there was a sign on the door. No sign on the till. Perhaps she was unhappy that people were leaving one after the other as a result. Regardless. Wont be back.
A great place for breakfast in the morning or afternoon if you prefer. The food has been great every time I have been there so far.
The only downside is that they can be to popular sometimes and getting a seat is a little difficult. The wait is worth it, if you want just the usual bacon and eggs or are in the mood for blueberry pancakes. -

This place is called "MOODY" ville for a reason!!!
Food is inconsistent ...service is almost always RUDE.
I gave up going this place after a near 45 minutes to get my burger.
Hit or Miss. Definitely UNAPPRECIATIVE OF THE YOUR BUSINESS.
Give this one a pass. -
Review from Elena D.
This place is NEVER open! Someone is always sitting inside but they are always closed! The sign reads "breakfast all day"! No hours of operation posted on the door. They do not deserve to occupy such a prime location on Lonsdale, someone who wants to offer service to the people should buy out this spot and open a good breakfast place. Yelp reviews seem to be posted by the owners themselves since it says that they are always busy, all the times I tried to go there they were not only not busy but also Closed!!! Disappointment.

The food was pretty good but I especially liked the workers here. They were very friendly. Also, how many small mom and pop shops are there in vancouver that serves up breakfast all day? Kudos.
