    NOTE: This review is based solely on the food, NOT actual venue or service as it was ordered ahead of time and picked up by a co-worker. However, the lady on the phone was very pleasant and patient with me as it was my first time ordering.

    I had the Reuben with fries & coleslaw just a half an hour ago. My mouth is still watering from the amazing flavour of EVERYTHING! It's an absolute must to get it with the fries and coleslaw as they compliment the sandwich very well.

    They filled the takeout box (with a small container on the side for coleslaw) and I could only actually finish half of it as I'm at that point where I'm the perfect amount of full :P

    The sandwich was toasted/grilled perfectly, cheese was melted on top of the meat and the warm sauerkraut brought it all together.....ahhhhh, delicious!

    I will definitely be ordering from here again. I just hope they update their website soon as it does not fully display their menu :( You have to go there and pick one up or order off the menu board on the wall.

    That is all...ENJOY!

    If great restaurants are all about the food, then Montreal Deli is a winner. However, service is in need of improvement. I came here for lunch, which is usually an hour, but it turned into 2hrs.

    *** FOOD ***
    I ordered the special: Deli Burger and Fries.

    * Deli Burger *
    This is the largest burger I have ever had. The burger consists of a juicy beef patty with melted Swiss cheese. On top of this is approximately 2 to 3 inches of freshly sliced deli meat. Add lettuce, tomatoes and relish, then sandwich it between 2 soft buns. The meat is tender and juicy and the ingredients are fresh. This burger can only be described as deli-cious.

    * Fries *
    The fries were probably the most filling part. They were a little on the starchy side, but I didn't touch them until I finished the burger, so they lost their heat. Too many of the fries were thin and crispy with no potato flesh. The fries were just okay.

    *** APPEARANCE ***
    The restaurant is fairly small and can seat ~20 people. It is clean, with not very interesting decor. There are some pictures of Montreal but nothing exciting. There is a mixture of different chairs, some with cushions and some without. All the tables and chairs are wooden.

    *** SERVICE ***
    We arrived during the lunch hour and the place was busy. Upon entering, we just milled around the entrance until a server told us we could sit at one of the free tables. After sitting down, about a minute later we were given menus. We ordered drinks before ordering food. The drinks took about 10 minutes to be delivered to us. A couple people who came after us got their drinks before us. Once we ordered food, it took about 30 minutes before it came. The waitresses were polite and friendly. Our server did come by while we were eating to make sure that everything was going well.

    *** PRICE ***
    Deli Burger & Fries Special: $7.50

    Total after tax and tip: $12.40

    Considering the amount of food and the fact that it tasted so good, the pricing is right on!

    *** FINALE ***
    If you're prepared to wait a while for you food or you're not in a rush, then Montreal Deli is perfect! I would definitely recommend anyone who likes sandwiches to try this place. I will most certainly return.

    The best Reuben sandwich in the city.  Ample amounts of freshly steamed meat, perfectly toasted rye, hot sauerkraut and swiss.  top it with a little extra mustard, dill pickles, and wash it down with black cherry pop and you've got yourself heaven on earth.

    Nick is a great owner who takes pride in his work.
