Went on a Saturday, it was quiet and not busy. Our appetizers could have come a few minutes earlier they were quite tasty even though serving size was small. The drinks were reasonably priced. We ordered steaks both well done. Mine was perfectly done my girlfriends was a bit on the dry side but thats the risk you take ordering well done. The serving size of the meals more than made up for the size of the appetizer, so much so that I had a skewer of four shrimp a bit of steak and some potatoes left to carry home. The utensils had some water spots here and there as well.

Like another yelped said, service was horrible. Restaurant by no means was busy yet our food took what felt like 30 mins to arrive. No cutlery so I had to find the hostess near by to ask for cutlery, and ketchup. Ordered a coffee but had no sugar or a spoon to stir. Had to chase down the server for that as well. Since getting our food and our entire time no one checked up on us for a refill or to see if we needed anything else. Our server for the record was Hillary. In contrast, Hillary was quite quick to collect our money.
Food was ok. I had the NY Steak sandwich with fries. I feel like I could have gotten more fries as a lot of the white plate was still visible.
My rating is weighted towards the service I got this visit. I will be fair in saying that I have come here in another occasion for the express lunch and the service was way better. One should consider the incentive to serve promptly given the 15 mins or it's free.
Manager is to blame as he's supposed to be on top of things. -

Service was slow and awkward. Food was cooked ok and tasted good but it was also a little slow. If I'm in the mood for the cookhouse again, I'll pick another location nearby.

Kanata, ON
We went to the new Montana's in Kanata before a Sens game and had a great experience. Service was fast and friendly. Tons of room in the place and really well laid out. Four of us went and ordered ribs, a burger and 2 of the buffalo chicken sandwiches. The ribs were HUGE and fall off the bone, great sauce and texture. Burger was juicy and did the job of a burger, the choice side was garlic mashed potatoes that were AMAZING. The buffalo chicken sandwiches were spicy but had some sour cream on them to tone that down a bit, sides of Caesar salad and fries were what you'd expect from any restaurant.
Great service, food that hits the spot and a rustic, homey atmosphere. Great place for drinks and a bite before the game or a family dinner.
