The service was terrible here. The person serving us was very unfriendly and unattentive as he brought us a salad with bacon even though we asked for no bacon on it. The food was very good though - quarter chicken rotisserie that came with beans and salad, mashed potatoes and antohitos. They lose one star on keeping an unfriendly waiter/host on staff even though I should deduct more for nearly ruining I niagara moments.

Entered the restaurant and stood there in plain view for a good 5 minutes.  Staff were visible as they walked around the dining room and I'm pretty sure they saw me despite their attempts to make contact.

Completely despicable.  I guess I should've played along and threw a
"Look at me!!!" temper tantrum.  Alas, I did not and instead took my integrity and my wallet elsewhere.

Montana's, I think you need to step your game up and offer a customer service refresher course.  You should also ensure that all of your locations have official host/hostess positions and not just a "ring around the rosey" approach.

Could not give less than 1 star, which is what it deserved. Like others mentioned, extremely slow service. We were waiting for food for more than an hour and got manager involved to speed things up. Food came without cutlery. Typical explanation, busy time for a restaurant, which is doubtful on Christmas day. The restaurant was not up to full capacity. Milk they brought for kids was completely frozen. When food was finally brought in after manager's intervention, it was cold. Steak that was supposed to be medium well was well done as acknowledged by waiter. The manager, however, was eager to prove that it was medium well steak which was ridiculous. To be honest, the manager did offer 50% off for our terrible experience. Yet, it's not the place we will ever come to again anytime in the future.

The main reason I came here was because of their $1 off drink special on frozen cocktails and I had never had a daiquiri before (drinking age is lower in Canada than in the US). I ordered a raspberry daiquiri and it was SO YUMMY but my brother said it was a little weak. It's ok though cause I wasn't looking to get drunk with my family.
As for food, I got the Big & Bold Brisket Burger and the cajun onions in it were nice and crispy :) My family shared beef and pork ribs (they got some special combo but I can't really remember the name) which were also really good.
This place is located near the top of Clifton Hill (literally the biggest tourist trap ever) and I'd definitely choose this place over the other restaurants in the area (Kelsey's, Rainforest Cafe, Hard Rock Cafe etc). It costs just as much as the other places but isn't as crowded since it's not on the main road.

Saddle up, cowboys, for another tourist trap chain restaurant.  (I was dragged here by in laws).  We enter a completely empty restaurant, at 5:30 pm, and have to wait an awkwardly long amount of time to be greeted.  Our server, "Mike", who wrote his name in Crayon, on our paper table cloth, was painfully awkward.  He couldn't explain that they only offer "Brisk" brand Iced Tea, and do not carry real Iced Tea.  He told us that alot of places don't "carry unsweetened iced tea".  Whatever.  Usual big menu, with photos, lots of fried stuff and meat.  The appetizer sucked, the "cookhouse platter" consisted of disgusting "garlic" bread, served with what appeared to be deep fried bread, for the mucho bland "4 cheese dip".  5 of us were dining, and the appetizer went untouched.  My husband got the "veggie burger" w/ BBQ sauce and feta (which I thought was a weird combo).  Huge, dried out veggie burger served on a dried out, gigantic white bun, with fat shoe string french fries, that got cold in about 2 minutes.  I played it safe w/ a house salad and bowl of chicken soup, which was about as good as Progresso.  I guess it was not the place for us, as their slogan is "for the love of meat".

Smack dab in the middle of one of the biggest, corniest, looking tourist spots around, is Montana's--the bbq cookhouse that will make you excited you ever tried to walk through the raging crowds near niagara falls.

It looks like any commercial, chain restaurant with a cabin type of theme, so you would expect it to be way overpriced and not very good food, but actually, for a place as overpriced as niagara falls, for the amount of food and the quality of food you get here, you will be pleasantly surprised! You get a MOUNTAIN of food here. My brother and I couldn't finish our plates at all.

He of course got their rib plate, which you can actually upgrade to get unlimited all you can eat, but he wasn't quite up for the challenge. His rack of ribs came and I haven't seen him happier in quite some time. He loves ribs. Has ordered them basically ever since he got teeth and he was pretty happy picking every last bite of meat off of those bones. He thought they could be a little thicker on some ribs, but considering the only other place that didn't have a 30 min wait or more was the strange burger king with a giant frankenstein on top of it, this was TONS better.

I got their roasted chicken dish that came with their seasonal veggies, and i guess in canada they maybe only have one type of seasonal veggies even though it was plural, because all it really was, was some broccoli. It was good, fresh broccoli but I thought we would have gotten more variety. The chicken was seasoned perfectly, but don't get the half chicken unless you are prepared to eat half of a chicken on steroids, because this was the biggest half of chicken I have ever seen! I had to pass along my leftovers to my brother and after his ribs he didn't have room for much else ha

And the bar tenders are pretty nice here, we tried are first canadian beer on tap, and then at the end of our meal we actually got to swipe and pay with our credit card right at our table and it even spat out our receipt for us too! I guess we are in the age of technology these days, well at least in Canada since I haven't seen these in the US yet :-)

Don't forget to say hi to the stuffed fake moose on the wall!

Located in the heart of touristy Niagara Falls, Ontario, just off of Clifton Hill.

Menu has steaks, burgers, salads, etc. Decor is right out of Big Sky Country.

Took the family while on vacation. The 8 year-old had chicken fingers and fries, the 10 year-old had a big chicken salad, my spouse had a veggie burger and I had a whole rack of ribs. The ribs were offered as all you can eat if you buy the full rack and pay a buck more. There are three sauces, all pretty good.

We were one of the last parties seated that evening. The food was well prepared and promptly served by a friendly server who was available.

The bill (including three beers) came to about $95. It wasn't a bad experience but the price felt a little high for what we received. Later I learned that it was actually a pretty good deal for the heart of tourist country.

Go ahead, Eat here. You'll keep it down and won't feel too broke when you're done.
