One word to describe this trip: AMAZING!

While I'm not a fan of the cold weather or snow sports, Mont Tremblant Ski Resort was so beautiful. In NYC we do not get to experience the snow and it's beauty because within the first hour of it falling the snow is already a dirty mush.

The mountains were covered in beautiful white snow. We were a 5 minute walk to the main village and a 10 minute drive to the smaller village with a few shops.

I am a beginner snowboarder so I took the lesson with Jasmine and she was very patient and polite. In the beginning of the lesson I was doing alright for a beginner but after a while I continued to fall and kept Jasmine down with me but she was a great sport and very helpful.

We spent Saturday evening exploring the village and ran into Mexican Cantina, which I couldn't find on Yelp to check in but great nachos and margaritas!

I found that the souvenir shops were a bit expense so we waited to go to the duty free at the border.

    Overall Amazing!

Beautiful hill but be sure to stay in the village. We stayed away from the village and with only 4 cabs in the entire area it is difficult to get to the village within a decent time or at all.

Busy at times, checkout the north side for some great skiing

Disney for skiing.  The village is certainly post-card worthy though having been to Switzerland and Austria it is a bit manufactured feeling, but it's still fun.  Everything is just a two minute walk from the slopes to restaurants and hotels which is fantastically appreciated.    The square at the top had a stage with music on the weekend, some little activities, and outdoor fireplace.  There's an SAQ for wine; I recommend a Bordeaux to sip by your lobby or room fireplace.

I came to learn with zero prior experience.  Went with a morning lesson in the LTS Learn to Ski program which ran about $115 including equipment for the day.  I stuck with the bunny slope, found it fairly easy after about an hour.  My instructor was fairly good, albeit somewhat limited in help due to most of my never-skied class members being awful save one.

The next day for some reason the price was over $200 for the same beginner lesson but with a guide actually going up the mountain.  Not a great deal and since he was of very little utility I'm not a fan.  Whereas when one learns SCUBA you are taught skills, you practice them over and over and then confidently act. In contrast skiing for adults was not very instructive (the kids classes looked much more structured but I don't think they'd buy that I was 3 years old with by beard).  My instructor could answer NONE of my questions.  I had very normal questions about proper turning, slowing down, etc. and nothing intelligent came out of his mouth.

One night it got warm and a lot of the snow melted so knowing the next morning was a bust I went out but the reviews here basically scared me away from the clubs and I stuck with the brewery La Diable (also directly next to the clubs).  $5 whiskey sodas, bachelorette parties and all sorts of random people to talk to.  The food was good too (ribs or market sausages).

Mont Tremblant was an awesome place to ski and board. We had snow the entire time we were there. So there was always fresh powder on the mountain. We stayed at one of the hotels on the mountain so we were able to get first tracks tickets for the entire time we stayed here.

The trails very a good amount, i feel that the trails are pretty well marked difficulty wise and that there would be something for everyone. From long green circles that meander around the mountain to black diamond glades that are not for the faint of heart. They glades were pretty nice as road through the various difficulty one. I was surprised by how much powder was on the trails each day.
The lodge was crowded as expected but it was pretty nice.  If you don't want to deal with all the people upstairs at the summit lodge, the downstairs always seemed empty when I was there.

As for the rest of the resort, there is plenty to do, most bars are open to 3am and there is really no need to leave once you get here so pay the money to park underground if you can. There is a small grocery that is overpriced but if you need something last minute it might be worth the extra money.

Overall my experience at Tremblant was great, but I was also surrounded by awesome people. So I'll break it down for you ...

4 stars: The village is super cute. Tons of place to eat and drink all within walking distance. The crepe place is delicious and a must visit. The fondue place also wonderful. No matter where we went service was also attentive and polite.

3 stars: The mountain was good, not great. There is something for everyone, so if your party's skiing ability varies its nice. Not a whole lot of difficult terrain, backside is best place to find more challenging slopes with some glades. Three days is enough, especially if you like challenging terrain, you will get bored here if you stay longer.

2 stars: The nightlife is overrated or over-hyped (you decide). Two "clubs," 18+ (can't remember the name) and 21+ (Le Petite Caribou). Both are full of teens, so one night was about all I could take ... rather sit at a bar and chill.

As I said, I had a great time because of amazing people. Its a nice place for a relaxing weekend, its not party central as advertised unless you're 15...

    Mont Tremblant, je t'aime.
Located in the heart of Quebec, Mt Tremblant is nothing short of charming, from the village to the mountain itself. I admit, the mountain can get COLD! I almost detracted a star for that, but there's so much other stuff to do that it's not really necessary to even ski! I've skated and had amazing soupe a l'onignon on the village when it's too cold or icy on the mountain. In-village accommodations, especially the Chateau, are lovely.

The mountain itself is very spread out, and the terrain is adequately varied. The ski school is well-touted. They get plenty of snow here, and don't have to make much of their own, but it's still quite icy anyway. When Tremblant is good, it's great, and when it's not, there's other stuff to do to still make it worth the trip.

Many thanks goes to my Canadian cousin, 'Lissa, for setting up a family reunion which was spent at this wonderful location.
Our first impression of the facility was rather 'dark' since we drove up to the entrance late in the evening. We were also a little lost driving up through the trees. Point here, drive up during the day. You get a better scope of the land in daylight.
The bell hop with the dreds was friendly, fast and efficient with unpacking our over packed car and kids. We were greeted with kind 'Bonjour' and whisked to the back patio for a grilled feast. (the grilling was done by family reunion members and I believe use of the grill needs to be set up with concierge).

Our accommodations was the Three bedroom suite which included:
1 king size bed, 3 queen size beds and a sofa bed. Maximum occupancy is 10. My family of 5 and my sisters family of 6 (4adults and 7 kids under the age of 7years old) fit comfortably with room to run around. There is a full kitchen, full dining area, living area and patio with seating. King size bedroom with master bath. Kiddies stayed in the 2 queen bedroom. Every room has a television and the beds were comfy. Pillows everywhere for all kids and parents. Our unit also had washer/dryer and dishwasher. ***Beware dryer is the small load variety. Had to dry clothes a couple times, and clothes were still a little damp, but no problems otherwise. Breathtaking views from every window abound, and truly home away from home.

The Resort itself has prime time location at the Village pietonnier - Pedestrian village. Walking out the door you are presented with the magnificent Mont Tremblant and different activities right at your fingertips. It was easy to walk the cobblestone pathways or take the cabriolet through the village and "fly" over the tree tops.

The resort has a game room, with foose ball, and billiards, and television. Next door is a play room just right for the kiddies. Our vacation was during early fall and I would say a slow time of the year. Although during the weekend it was the Music Festival and became quite busy. I am sure this place is hopping during winter months and with the ski/snowboarding population.

The staff was knowledgeable and helpful when it came to requests for 11 extra towels.  The French language abounds, but staff was quick to switch to English, when they knew I had no idea what was being said.  (Although it sounded sweet!)  Watch out when you park in the underground garage. The entrance to the garage is suppose to accommodate 2 lanes one lane out going and one lane for entrance. It is a tad snug, and you can not tell until the door opens up and find yourself head to head with another car.
This place is a definite for Canada Part Deux. Until next time.

This place may be the best on the east coast, but I was underwhelmed to say the least.  The terrain was vastly overstated (seriously - I was doing blacks - and I don't do blacks)...the expert skiiers / boarders were bored by the end of the first day.  I was bored by the end of the second day.

I didn't understand the lift lines and the whole scene on the mountain at all - not that great.

Also - the entire village (mostly) was a huge disappointment.  Meh.

I'm staying out west for sure!  If I do venture out east again - we sure won't be coming here.

I feel 50/50 about my experience here.  The village was cute, but a friend and I went this past January for College Fest.  Maybe it was false advertisement, but the brochures and website for College Fest projected the nightlife to be a lot better than it was.  What looked like a whole ''Main Street" of bars, was actually two.  One for 18 + (which we only bothered to peek our heads in to see what it looked like and another 21 + (Le Petit Caribou).  The first night LPC was fun, standing room only, but still decent; the next night completely dead.  I think everyone went to the 18 + instead, which ew, no thanks, I'd rather just take a bottle of wine to the lodge instead of party with some drunken slutty tweens.

The lodges were gorgeous and spacious.  Only complaints were that you had to walk 800 miles to the small parking area take as much luggage as you could walk uphill in the snow back to the lodge (with a BROKEN elevator) and up 5 flights of stairs and repeat.  Phew, I'm exhausted just thinking back about it.  Also, again, possibly false advertisement on CF's part, but it seemed as if every lodge would have a hot tub.  Nope.

The first green trail was too flat.  If you stopped once you had to unhook and walk or ''skateboard'' to a hill.  Boring and exhausting.  The second green trail was way too hard for me.

Shopping was great and everyone employed in the area, restaurants included, were very friendly.  All in all I would love to go back to Quebec, and maybe even Mont Tremblant as long as I don't have the pre-existing mindset of a huge party.

I've been coming here for over 20 years and this is still the best mountain in eastern North America. Lots of terrain that includes plenty of secret powder stashes in the glades (if it snows), fast lifts and long top to bottom, cheek-flappin', thigh burnin' runs. The major downside is the price. The only lift ticket deals they have are for the Quebecois and, then, only for specific area codes.

Highly over rated. Poor snow. Poor weather. Mediocre terrain. If this is the best that the East has to offer then I'm going west or transatlantic - both provide far better value.
