This bakery is great, mainly for their selection of homemade chocolates and sweets. I had a marzipan cigar and a white chocolate peanut butter cup, both of which were rich and delicious. My boyfriend went with their sugar cookies and their brownie - he liked his brownie. They also have an espresso bar and seating. It's cute.

Very good breads. I've tried some of their pastry...the eclairs were good...I think their mini cheesecakes were also ok. I'm not big on Italian pasty overall though....more on the simple cookies like anisette etc. But their breads are great.
It's the only place I know of in the area that sells good, homemade bread! -

Overall, a great place for baked goods and bread. They're my go-to for Italian bread and make a great cannoli; I wish they had the cannoli more often when I've gone but I usually get a couple when I see them. The eclairs are also very good.
The only downside is when I've gone on some weekday afternoons & seen displays of cakes that didn't look appetizing. One day there was a cake w/strawberries on it & one of the strawberries looked visibly rotten.
Don't let displays like that fool you; if what I've had is any indication, I can't see their cakes being anything less than superb. The staff is also friendly and helpful. -

I walked into this small bakery to find a smaller variety and amount of cookies and pastries than a lot of the bakeries in this area. I wasn't thrilled with the variety of cookies at this place but I ordered a medium sized cookie that is shaped like a bunny face. It had hard chocolate on the top. The chocolate was ok but I did not like the taste of the cookie. It tasted bland. I also ordered a medium sized heart shaped cookie that has chocolate on one side of the cookie. I did not like the taste of that cookie either. It just didn't have much flavor. When I took a bite out of both cookies, all I could think of are the other cookies I've had at other bakeries.
I don't have know how the pastries and cakes taste like so they can be as bad as the cookies or mmm too good! -

Another lovely Ridgewood Italian bakery. It is a small place, but clean, and the service was friendly. The cannoli and fruit tarts were top-notch. They have gelato sometimes as well.

Good bakeries are hard to find!
They have fresh, delicious pastries, cookies, cakes, etc.
My favorite treat to get are the fruit tarts. They use REAL pastry cream, unlike some bakeries that take a short cut. It's magical - biting into the little tart and getting a perfect amount of fresh fruits (kiwi, strawberries, blueberries) and that decadent pastry cream.
Another great fact about this bakery is that they sell everything by the pound. You get a great deal for their products. I used to pay upwards to $4.00 for those little tarts (in Astoria).Listed in: places i LOVE

Yes I have to agree with Maria B.
This place is nice, very clean and they have outstanding products. The pastry cream is real and FRESH that is the key. Pastry cream that is good and real is few and far between.
I am a chef and this actually impresses me...
I hope if you are around the Ridgewood and Glendale area and you are in the mood for a treat stop in here... You won't be disappointed. -

Wonderful local bakery. I enjoy going in as much as I can, as evidenced by my waistline. Some of the best bread I've ever had.
