I have been to Mongolian Grill before and I enjoyed the create-you-own-dish buffet, thus I decided to try the one in London. This Mongolian grill in London only had the raw food section (unlike the Mongolian Grill in Markham) and selection was ok. There were your standard meats and shrimp and fish. They ran out of fish when we where there and they never brought out more... The cooking show was still pretty cool (large grill and wooden sticks) and the food was decent. There was rice and tortillas at the table and complimentary soup and salad (don't really understand that since we were at a buffet...) The dessert and drinks were extra.

Overall, this Mongolian Grill was a dissapointment after going to the one in Markham. I wouldn't recommend this particular restaurant, but the one in Toronto was good (see my other review).

Like other posters, I've been to other Mongolian BBQ style restaurants in Canada and the USA and this wasn't anything to write home about. Fiance and I went on a Sunday and used a Groupon (praise here, we were treated just like any other customer despite having a discount coupon).

The meats and vegetables that they had out were fresh and looked appealing. The meat selection was OK, the noodle selection was good (I love udon noodles and that was the first time I've seen them at a Mongolian BBQ) but the vegetable selection was rather skimpy and when things ran out they didn't refill - even though it was 7pm. They had a few recipes (on chalkboards above the veggies/meat - I don't think most people noticed them), but unless you've done this before it's really difficult to get a good combo. Here's a free tip owners, if you're reading this, put out laminated recipe cards on people's tables! Have your waitstaff point them out and feature a recipe per day! Your waitstaff will probably get better tips because they seem more helpful (and our waitress definitely could have been a lot more attentive). Oh, and one other thing, figure out a way to manage your grill lineups. The wait (from getting into line to walking away from the grill with your food) was easily 45 minutes at one point.

In summary, it was good - if you know what you're doing and don't mind waiting - but not worth full price.

All across malls in the states, there is a chain of mongolian bbq places. It is cheap, delicious and filling. As I am in London for another month, I decided to give this place a try.

The waiters were not attentive. We sat in out booths for five minutes before anyone gave us a menu or asked for something to drink. As my boyfriend and I walked over to the food bar, I got pretty excited about their meat selection. Their vegetable selection, however, well it wasn't as appealing. So I grabbed some lamb, veges, noodles, and ladled the sauce on.

Now, I love variety, but I am not a pro, I had no idea how to use 50% of the dry ingredients in my stir fry for it to be good. I ladled in about 3 ladles full of their chili one and hoped for the best.

The guy that cooked my food was very nice, but that didn't transition to the food. Because they are placing these dishes directly onto the hot grilling place, the stuff sort of burns onto the surface. I am used to the workers pouring water and some oil on it so it doesn't stick, but they didn't do it here. They gave me back a plate that was covered in black, burned flakes.

In conclusion, we didn't leave a tip for the waitresses because they failed me, although it was nice because you can leave a tip directly to the cooks, who deserved it, and I am never coming back here again. I will just have to wait to get back home and eat mall food

I like this place because it offers a unique experience.  You choose your ingredients (choice of rice or noodles, various meats, various vegetables, lots of sauces and spices), bring your concoction to a giant grill and watch it cook in front of your very eyes.  You have the option of going up just once or all-you-can-eat.  I recommend the all-you-can-eat because some recipes are disastrous and the price difference isn't huge.

I've had to wait for a table for over an hour and then wait in line again to select ingredients and then wait in line AGAIN to have my meal cooked.  By the time you get any food into your stomach, you're probably not hungry anymore.  They invite you to wait at the martini bar upstairs, which is comfortable, but adding a few drinks to your dinner bill isn't within a student budget.

It's not a great place to catch up with friends since there's a lot of getting up from your seat.

If you have patience and like "different" restaurants, Mongolian Grill is something to experience.  I recommend following their recipes, at least loosely, because it turns out we can't all be gourmet chefs.

We love Mongolian grill, but this location(which we frequent the most due to family in London) is not exactly the cream of the crop. The food selection is not as large as other locations, but the biggest problem is the grilling staff. When you get the food there are two options : burned to a crisp, and still half frozen. Sometimes you'll get really lucky and have one side burned to a crisp while the other side is still frozen. That's really the best of both worlds here. If the staff paid more attention to the food and less to hitting on people and chatting, the food would be better.

The deal here is that for $18 you can go through a buffet line with a small bowl and select the items you want in your stir-fry.  At the end of the line they will cook it on a huge flat-top in front of you.  Nice idea but i waited in line over 30 minutes for my meal to be cooked and didn't have time to go for seconds. At the end of the night I paid over $20 for a small stir-fry. Not worth it. Nice gimic but poorly executed.

I really like this place.  The food is good, and the staff friendly.  I have 2 complaints(that aren't really the fault of Mongolian grill)  1.  Parking downtown London is terrible, biggest reason I rarely come here.  2. Sometimes this place gets too crowded and becomes annoying.  But other than that it's great.
