For truly great and affordable Chinese BBQ and meats, this is my go-to place. Money Foods has several locations throughout the Lower Mainland, but I'm pretty sure that this is the first and best branch of it.
I always get my Chinese roast duck here. The skin is absolutely deliciously crispy, the meat is perfectly tender and seasoned with chinese spices, and the duck fat is the best part by far. Not overly greasy but just with enough flavor and punch. You have to eat it right away, don't put it in the fridge where the flavors will be crushed and the crispness deflated. Nope, I have to eat it right after its chopped and the meat is so fresh and good. Its like the cheapest roast duck in Vancouver (maybe $16 for an entire duck, good for 3-4 people) and probably the most flavorful.
I think they do actually speak english and they do welcome non-chinese customers. Just be prepared for a little culture shock. :)
