I've been going to Moksha Maple for about 3 months now and I have to say it's my favourite yoga studio so far.  I've checked out 2 other yoga places prior to this so I know this is one of the best in the Vaughan/Maple area.  The staff there are very friendly and professional and the studio director, Jackie  seems very passionate about her job and genuinely cares about her students.  The studio is always very clean and the decor really sets the mood for a great practice.

Yoga etiquette is very important to me and I always try to be very quiet when entering/exiting the studio, rolling my mat out etc.  I love that the studio has a push/ pull door that barely makes any sound when someone enters/exits the room.  In the past, I've always had my Savasana disrupted because people would slam the door.  It's great that I will never have to experience that again!  For the most part, everyone that goes to Moksha has pretty good etiquette.  You'll still have people slamming their mat down when unrolling their mat at every class but that's something you get used to.  I've heard some whispering once or twice before and after the practice but that's about it.  I've never had to experience dirty socks beside me during my practice which is disgusting!  I know that the Moksha teachers will never tolerate that!

So far, I've enjoyed 4/7 teachers that I've tried.  That's my own personal preference but there seems to be a good variety of teachers to choose from.  I usually attend the 4:30pm class which is usually about 25 people.  The evening classes are jam packed so I recommend to come to the day classes if possible.  I really hope my review helps anyone who is looking for an overall, great yoga studio in the Maple/Vaughan area.  Namaste!

This Moksha is a lot like others in many respects. I've taken a regular Moksha class and an Ashtanga class at MMaple and they were okay as a semi-regular Moksha student.

Though the customer service lacks in hospitality, the studio is immaculate and very well designed with all that you would expect from a hot yoga studio, such as showers, plenty of space, high ceilings in the studio and with plenty of accessories for your practice(blocks, straps, bolsters).

During rush hour, be sure not to place your mat along or anywhere near the windows, since the constant traffic will get you out of your element.

After frequenting many, many other studios in the GTA I've been spoiled rotten by inspiring and creative methods of teaching as well as instructors who take yoga to a level beyond obsession. They make it extremely fun and challenging like a wild ride, and that's what makes it so hard to return to Moksha and Bikram yoga, where every class is like the other.

The Moksha class at this studio was good, however, the instructor was patient and engaging, while providing many adjustments where needed. My ashtanga class was not so good, and pales as a comparison to Ashtanga Yoga Centre. It seemed like the instructor was teaching from a different room. He provided no adjustments or individual direction and it's a pity since he seemed to really know his stuff.

I started yoga at Moksha Yoga Maple just last week using the $40 unlimited 1 month intro offer. So far I really like it; plenty of parking, non-slamming studio door, and very clean. My favourite instructor so far is Lisa because I feel as if she LIVES the yogic life and really cares about the practice. My only complaint would be that the change room is so small; this seems to be the same at every studio I've gone to. The Moksha Yoga Maple studio accommodates 50 people and usually 90% are female so everybody is on top of each other in the change room after a busy class and that stresses me after such a nice relaxing hour.

Moksha Yoga Maple is a brand new yoga studio that opens up at Vaughan/Maple area.

Yes this is another one of those heated/hot yoga studios.... doing the same thing as others.. but there are several aspects of the this studio that made my Passport to Prana visit really enjoyable.

Since it is a brand new studio in a brand new retail plaza.. Moksha Yoga Maple can build and design exactly the way the owner envisioned, compared to a lot of other studios that need to convert or remodel existing spaces/business.

There are tons of little cubicles for your shoes right when you walk in.. and thanks so much that there are padded benches for people actually sit down and put on/off their shoes!! hopping on one leg and balancing trying put on winter boots are not fun!

The staffs are really friendly! Welcoming to first timer and everyone new to the practice/studio. The teacher, Vanessa actually sat in the front and reading all the new wavier forms people signed and ask questions if anyone new to the practice individually or have any concerns even before going inside the practice room. Vanessa even explain to all the newcomers what to expect...I really like that caring vibe... and how she really respect the students and herself as a teacher.

The whole studio has a colour theme "Green". All the towels, (BTW the rental towel is one of those yogitoes) , mats, painted walls.. are all in the same colour theme..
"Green, which is Nature's colour, is restful, soothing, cheerful, and health-giving." - Paul Brunton

The class itself is standard Moksha poses.. but since there are quite a few beginners, the instructor spent time and walk us through the poses verbally in details. She also shares her thoughts of how to take yoga practice off the mat into the world. I would say it was a great class with such a positive vibe!..

Facilities wise, there are 2 toilets, 3 showers with fostered shower doors.. filtered water to fill up your water bottles.

No lockers though, so locking up your valuable in the car would be a good idea!

Moksha Maple truly lives up to Moksha Yoga's promise of a fit body, calm mind and inspired life. A true yoga community lives there; the instructors are incredibly present in the classes, offering their all to each student from a beginner to an advanced yogi. It is a welcoming place for anyone seeking balance, spirit and fitness. The studio room is womblike. The changerooms and showers are very clean and nicely appointed. Show up early for evening classes to get your favorite spot; 5 minutes prior to class, the studio is almost full.

Nothing like a new yoga studio where the noon classes on a weekend aren't jam packed. :P

My friend and I trekked here from our usual Markham/Scarborough spots to find one of the biggest, cleanest studios ever. This goes for the change room too, that has all the usual amenities (hair dryer, elastics, filtered water, soap in showers)...and three showers! No lockers but you can leave your keys at the front if you wish.  Lots of parking. :)

Overall the class was the normal moksha class, so can't really complain there. The heat seemed hotter than what I got from other studios in the GTA (and compared to the Stouffville one which I'd rate as the most mild).  The instructor was at a good pace and I think she was also at the front desk - well at least whoever it was was quite welcoming! :)

They sell a bunch of stuff there as well but I would've liked to see more yoga clothes...seemed I saw a lot of t-shirts, and good, non-wallet breaking tops compatible with hot yoga are hard to find.

Overall, if I lived in the area I'd go back for sure!

My first time tonight to the yoga studio and was beyond impressed.  I did a Yin class (at 6:15  )and found it very relaxing.  Clean , new studio.  Great friendly and helpful staff.  Will go back often.  8 pm yoga class seemed very busy so get there early.

Ok, i've been to what seems like hundreds of yoga studios and I have nothing negative so say about them but i do need to say something about Moksha yoga maple. BY FAR the cleanest, friendliest and most convenient of all. The change rooms, showers and practice rooms were squeaky clean! I mean...SPARKLING. The staff remembered everything about me and even asked about my dogs:) To boot, its in the same plaza as Starbucks, metro and my bank!! I Love, Love, Love Moksha Maple:)
