Thank god I know a friend of a friend of a friend of someone who works at this office to book an appointment here. I didn't have my medical insurance but wanted to check out all my nooks and crannies once I came back to Canada. I had to pay the appropriate fees but was reassured that this would be covered once I got my Alberta Health card.
I have a permanent doctor now but the two times that I visited Dr. Mitha, it was a pleasant experience, he is a sweet and patient doctor with thousands of files so therefore thousands of patients. But the wait was atrocious, 3 hours sometimes 4 and I actually had appointments.
I am not sure if he is accepting patients now but this is the main reason I moved to the Mission Medical Clinic, waiting can be long here as a walk in, but now that I have a personal family doctor, I get it within 10 minutes. Even as a walk in you may be waiting long, but they allow you to leave and come back to better accomodate your time.
On a side note, I have tried 3 times to get my fees reimbursed by Mitha's office but they keep on giving me the run around. I will not give up ! $120 dollars can go a long way and it's worth the fight. Which I feel a little irritated that I have to do.
Stars docked for the wait time and this new irritation, he may have alot of patients but i am now lacking in patience.
