I had just landed off a redeye flight and no sleep and was on my way in to the city when I heard a loud *thud*. It was clear that the problem was my transmission or clutch and the tow-truck driver who eventually came suggested Mr. Transmission.
When you enter the lobby of Mister Transmission there are letters framed on the wall from past customers. When I first read these I thought they were probably a few happy customers among thousands of angry ones.
By my final visit I could understand that those letters were instead just a sample of many more happy customers.
The service from Mister Transmission was at all times honest and friendly. I was prepared to be gouged for thousands of $ but they worked hard to figure out the exact cause of my problem and they ended up only charging me a portion of the original estimated cost.
Halifax we should count ourselves lucky: When the worst thing possible happens (transmission goes) we are one of the few places in the world that actually has an honest shop we can go to.
