What has changed in Downtown Chinatown has the parallel effects at this Missisauga Chinese Centre as it seems that both have transitioned from Chinese/Cantonese area into Little SAIGON.
It still has some value as a destination it seems as the Nine DRAGON Wall still stands however on this day no tourist or locals for that matter even walk by to look. It seems that it's just me that are into these traditions and history from time to time. The Wall's story is suppose to be about a piece that fell and broke, and someone replaced a fake piece in it's place.
The pond and STATUES are still very unique in the GTA however majority of the shops are either closed or doesn't look presentable but that can be said for Downtown Chinatown shops too. I even saw the Sun Sun Seafood Chinese Restaurant post lots of banners where one even said AYCE.
It's not all bad but it seems that the HEY days has passed. There's still many customers that go through the inside mall area for Food Court passing along lots of Chinese Decor Shops where I believe it is mostly catered to Non-Chinese as Chinese rarely buy paper lanterns and such. I still wish to try Thanh Son Tofu that Janelle W. FtRed.Listed in: Retirement Planning

Maybe we're just spoiled with the Pacific Mall being so close to us, but we had expected lots more from the Chinese Centre as the hotel had a lot of great things to say about it.
The wall is pretty and that was nice for a photo op. -

This is a very pretty shopping centre with lovely decorations including a Chinese garden in the centre of the parking lot! (The sign on the nine dragon wall claims it is the only one in North America; it is incorrect since Chicago's Chinatown has a smaller version).
Stores and restaurants are primarily Cantonese and Vietnamese, as one might expect. The indoor shopping mall has a lot of bargain gift shops - one lady sold me two excellent quality shoji-style room dividers at a very reasonable price. The grocery store is well stocked but needs to be a lot cleaner - an inspection by the city of Missisauga is not uncalled for. Also, the stockboys are extremely rude and almost run you over.
