Minter Gardens is a classic show garden. The landscaping and flowers are top-notch here. As for sheer beauty, this place is right up there with The Butchart Gardens though a bit smaller. I went there as a kid and just went there again recently. Fond memories for sure.

Minter Gardens delivers a gorgeous setting full of lush gardens and wandering paths. I wasn't expecting it to be as grand as it turned out to be.
We started by having brunch at the restaurant which I would skip next time. It wasn't that good and has the decor of a hospital cafeteria, which is surprising for a place with such lovely grounds.
The gardens is where it's at though. Make sure you bring a camera as you'll have so many opportunities for family photos. The season is nearing an end so there weren't many people there when we visited. It's a popular setting for weddings though and I heard they had two the day before we arrived.
Admission will set you back $17 per adult but they do offer a BCAA discount of $1 per person. -

Having been to Butchart Gardens, I frankly wasn't expecting much - but was VERY pleasantly surprised. Although the area is relatively small, they have the main path laid out in such a way that it doubles back on itself and you get the impression you are in a much larger place.
The gardens themselves are fabulous, and well worth the price of admission. I am a non-gardener, though, so I was glad to have my wife (a master gardener) with me, as nothing whatsoever is labeled.
The only downside is the proximity to the Trans-Canada superhighway, whose truck traffic can be heard and even glimpsed from several spots that would otherwise be very peaceful.
Well worth the trip, especially if you combine it with a visit to Bridal Veil Falls Provincial Park, which is quite nearby. -

Went here for a friend's wedding. They have 2 rooms available for weddings. I think it's a fairly popular location, there were 2 weddings happening the day I was there. I think they have a packaged deal where you can get decorations / food / venue together.
They also were well prepared for the thunderstorm that happened later in the afternoon, I think they had umbrellas available and the outdoor area was partly covered.
The food was delicious! Even though the cafe front doesn't look very big there must be a good size kitchen hidden somewhere to cook everything.
