We hit Meyer Vineyard on our way out of BC; darn customs rules only allowing 2 bottles per person. I would have bought more than one bottle of Meyer wine.
They aren't much to look at right now, just a warehouse tasting room. But OMG, I was impressed with both the Pinot Noir and Gewurztraminer that I tasted.
The Meyer Vineyard focuses on crafting single vineyard wines. It shows. The Gewurztraminer blew all my expectations of what it could be. Fresh, crisp...NOT sickly sweet. I wish I could have purchased a case instead of just one.
They are in the beginning-midway through with what looks like constructing a proper tasting room and retail space. Can't wait to return to see and taste!
