It's a very large shopping mall which covers it all. You should be able to find whatever it is you are looking for there.

Large parking lot and easy access to public transport.

    Cute pet store.

That's about all there is to say about this behemoth mall!!

I am the queen of this mall (from my mall rat days). They have a winners, F21, Banana Republic, Zara, Superstore...... pretty much anything you need, they have it. Their food court is also beautifully wrought, and they have free parking and skytrain service. Faboo.

only reason why they have one star down? mall rats (as in 14 yr olds with nothing better to do than go to the mall everyday), but hey, i've been a broke 14 year old before...

My favorite mall of all malls in Vancouver and Burnaby.  Why?

-Parking is free and there's plenty of it
-Accessible by everyone since attached to skytrain line
-Big food court with lots of choices (with McDonalds, Tim Hortons, Starbucks, Quoola, Pinkberry throughout mall)
    -Groceries stores (Superstore, TNT)
    -Movie Theatre
    -Post office
-Huge variety of clothing stores (Aritzia, Plenty, Lululemon, Old Navy, Dynamite, Costa Blanca, Jacob, Forever 21, Zara, Mexx, H&M and etc)

Just add more high end stores and it'll be perfect.

This place is HUGE!!!  I was really amazed at it being 3 stories and long. Alot of great shops inside and accessible by the skyrail.

The service desk people were really helpful.
The place for is really clean and organized.
Alot of relaxing settings, like a stream of water
    alot of places to sit.
alot of signs pointing to you in the right direction.
There was a fire alert (was a false alarm) and there was an alarm with a message saying it was being investigated.

The place has alot of foot traffic and it seems to be busy.

Overall, I did enjoy my experience there.

I was asked yesterday if I was in Metrotown yesterday.  No, but I as there not long before.
I try to avoid this place if it's crazy busy, especially during the festive season, but then again, this place is always busy.

Possibly one of the biggest in Vancouver with the largest selection and relatively convenient parking.  A perfect meca for the teenager with nothing to do but hang out and spend your hard earned cash.

It's seen it's changes over the years, but it has always been a bustling business and retail center since it's inception.

And besides, this was where I met the love of my life, so I can't really complain.  Superstore was my first intro to amazing prices for food and household goods.

Metrotown used to be my go-to mall. I went there last week after a long hiatus of shopping there. It is very different. Lots of selection but SO busy. The staff, in general, is full of young kids who aren't really there to help you.

Food court is okay--nice variety but I would easily get sick of the selection. Although, that is true of any mall food court.

This mall is large and along the skytrain line which draws large crowds. It is like most malls, it has all the stores for which you will want to shop.

I myself try to stay away from this mall as much as possible and will not go near it at Christmas time. It is always too crowded and it seems as though people are just rude and do not understand basic logic for walking in a crowd. Why is it so hard to move off to the side of the walk way when you decide you want to chat with your friends. Is it really necessary to block all foot traffic from getting by.

If I do go to Metrotown, I try to go in the morning on the weekends before all the teenagers get there.

It's a great mall with all the shops I could want or need, and they've done many renovations and improvements over the last five years that have made it even better.

Whenever I have some extra money burning a hole in my pocket, or I'm in need of a specific wardrobe addition, this is usually the mall I go to and I always find what I need. I almost always will eat here when shopping too because their food court pretty great.

My only issue: people. So. Many. People. Try to go on a weekday morning or afternoon, rather than a weekend, when the mall isn't as busy and all the kids are in school.

When I first moved here and wanted to do some retail therapy, I  searched for malls in the area. Of course, being new- I had to roam around... After going to a handful of tiny, uninteresting malls- I gave up... and then- everyone kept asking me..."Have you been to Metrotown?" and after the 5th time I answered no- I figured I would check it out...

HAAAAAAAAA! Perfect! Huge, Great Shops, Good Food- TADA! My new favorite mall!

I walked out of there with an overload of therapy... Just the way you should...

Of course- the weekends are not the best time to go due to the crowds...

    Happy Shopping!

Metrotown is more or less your stereotypical mall and is not much different from major malls around the world - it's got major stores like AE, Zara, Chapters, a Gap, an HMV and etc.

What I like about Metrotown though is the sheer number of stores - it's got 3 floors and 450 stores. Not as overwhelming as West Ed's 800+, but still not too shabby. However, a lot of the stores just sell really weird clothes of poor quality and the selection is almost always limited to trendy things which will sell - no big surprise though.

Another thing I like about Metrodown is it's a lot more culturally diverse than most malls - it's got a bunch of Asian specialty shops such as a TNT market, several Chinese bakeries, Bubble Tea, some Asian cafe and some weirdo anime store.

The stores I usually check out here are

    -The Gap
    -Old Navy
    -Winners
    -Zara
    -The Bay
    -Sears
-Plenty (This is a must see! Definitely a nice change from the "mainstream" stores in the mall.)

You can almost always find some sort of sale going on at the places I've mentioned above.

The mall's easy to get to and it definitely has appeal to some people, but I think there are just way too many shops and it's hard to find a good deal. I went looking for a slim tie on September and couldn't find it in any of the stores I visited.

In conclusion, if you're looking for something - don't go to Metrotown. If you just want to chill, waste some time and blow some money - go ahead :)

    This mall is huge.

It's the second biggest mall in Canada and it's beautiful.
The concept and the way they built it is pretty amazing.
They had huge bug learning areas for kids in the middle of the mall which is great for parents.
There are mass amounts of stores where you can honestly find anything you could want or need.

I knew what I was getting so I just made a few stops and walked around.

It's a place you really should stop by when you go to Vancouver and have some spare time to do a little shopping.
