This is one of those great old time shops that's loaded with cool gear and people who are really into what they do. If you're looking for a turn table, a guitar, amps, drums, sheet music and anything that pertains to music, you must check it out. Jasper is the owner and he's a cool guy.

Bought a couple of pedals here. Turned out they were a bit more expensive than other stores. And the compression sustainer had a problem right after the purchase. Had to fix it elsewhere.
And the store is a mess. They should organize this damn store! Anything is found everywhere. The staff members are not really helpful either with the items they carry. Some of them are, but those are part-time employees.
My friend ordered some DJ equipment from this store. Apparently it arrive rather quick, and the price was decent. And the item never had a problem. If it weren't for this DJ machine thing, I would have given this store 2 stars. But then I occasionally come by to buy strings. -

I have had one positive experience and several negative ones dealing with this business.
Metro Sound has sold me products that do not work, are mismatched or incomplete. They have then charged me for required parts such as power adapters that also did not work.
Being given me some crap about 'being serious' before i am given service is UNACCEPTABLE. -

I have always wanted to be good at music, in my life I've played at least four different instruments and yet was never good at any of them. I have always like the feel of a music store because there is so much potential in all that they sell. Unfortunately Metro Sound and Music is not a very nice store. They have many of the things you'd expect to find in a music store, but they pack all those things into a space that is half the size that it should be. The feeling when you walk in to the store is one of fear, because you know how expensive everything around you is and can see how precariously balanced everything is. You have to urge to keep your hands at your sides for fear of tipping over something that you would have to pay for. Metro Sound and Music focuses in particular on guitars, the store is festooned with guitars of all shapes and sizes and the prices are in line with other stores. They also have a vast collection of music books which range from AC/DC to Aladdin which are all in good condition. Metro Sound and Music is a good place for someone who is knowledgeable about music and instruments and is looking for something in particular. This is not the store for rookies because it is quite intimidating.

I needed my guitar repaired quickly, and the shop I normally go to has a turn around time of 2 weeks+. A friend recommended that I try Metro Sound and said that the repair tech was excellent and quick. I was able to pick my guitar up in 2 days and it has never felt and sounded better. Thanks Ben. Much appreciated.
