I walked in dreading this interview with a company that shared a suite with a large company. But I left quite happy to have been wrong about my pre-conceived notions!
I met with John, who was down-to-earth and blunt though professional. We clicked immediately and I didn't feel like a bit of wool was being pulled over my eyes.
Have they placed me yet? No. But he instantly started giving me options for submission and they followed through. They're not the biggest in the city, but they won't waste your time if they call you in. -

It's a small office, however they are very personable and professional. I've done temp a long time and this company has been by far one of the better companies I had dealt with. They aren't as large as some of the other organizations out there, however they are honest and they will sit you down and explain everything to you. They will try to match you with the best fitting job possible for your talents and explain to you how the process works.
Because they are a small agency, they don't offer health coverage nor do they offer holiday or vacation pay, however their rates are better so you have a better opportunity of earning a better wage for your work.
Although I have not gotten work yet, they are great at getting back to you if you have any questions and as long as you keep them informed as to your availability, the more in favor you will be with them.Listed in: Employment Agencies

Merlin Associates is a small temp agency that is very honest about their capabilities and how many job orders they have.
The office is small, but clean and professional. Jodi Resnick is super sweet and down to earth. She made me feel comfortable and really listened to me. I also met with John Lyons, the Executive Director. He's nice too, a bit more gruff than Jodi, and definitely tells you like it is type.
Business is slow now, and Merlin tells you that right away. But, they work hard to find you a position. Three weeks after interviewing with them, they called to tell me they had a short term assignment if I wanted it, but hoped that I had already found a job by then. In fact, I did, but I appreciated their well wishes and efforts. -

Merlin placed me into an awesome position--five weeks later the company I'm at bought me out of my Merlin contract. I have full benefits and salary. All thanks to John for placing me there to start with!
