Their soft serve and froyo makes for fantastic sundaes.
If you can think it, they can make it into a sundae.
If you can't make up your mind the menu board offers a great array from the pocket-friendly single-topping options (Plain Jane) to the extravagant (Avalanche). My personal favourites are the french mint and the grasshopper....I've been going to Merla Mae since the early 80's and while they renovated from the walk up window to an actual sit down facility in the 90's the best parts from the original remain...the sign and the soft-serve. The Service has improved ten-fold!!! -

The manager/owner was nasty and rude.
I took my girlfriend to Merla Mae's last night for her birthday, and was surprised to see my buddy's face on the Merla Mae menu sign (his vocal quartet performs there regularly). So I pulled out my camera and took a picture of the menu to show to my friend later (the guy on the menu), and suddenly one of the service windows flew open and a woman (presumably the owner) started yelling at me. It went like this:
"Hey, what are you doing?!"
"Just taking a picture."
"Of what?"
"Your sign. Is there something wrong with taking pictures?"
"Yes, delete it right now. Why are you taking pictures? What were you taking pictures of?"
"My buddy's face is on your sign."
"Delete it right now!"
"Okay." I then showed her the screen as I deleted it.
Then without a word she angrily slammed the window shut. I really did not want to give this business any of my money, but I also didn't want to let my girlfriend down, so I gave her money to get us two ice creams
I agree that a business owner presumably has the right to ban photos on their premises (even though I could have technically gone out into the public plaza parking lot and took pictures), however I think the owner was extremely rude in the way she went about this. If my bad review stops even one person from going, I'm happy with that. -

This ice cream store has been around for a long time and you can tell why just by looking at the menu. So many selections to choose from! If you like icecream or chocolate, you can't go wrong here

The Ice Cream here is absolutely amazing! You can get pretty much any kind, and have it anyway that you want it as well. They have parfaits, milkshakes, dipped cones, sundaes, and the list goes on, They even sell the most amazingly good birthday cakes! The service is always friendly and they are quick as well. The only downside is it can get a little pricey if your looking for bargains, but all in all an amazing place to get some Ice Cream.
