Mekong Asian Cusine is a great place to go for some fine-dining, and high-quality Asian food. Their dinner menu in particular was scintilatingly good.
Be sure to go with a big appetite, as you will want to sample their appetizers. Their dim sum collection is awesome; try the hunan dumplings or the curry beef egg roll. For chicken lovers, the Lemon chicken is great. I didn't try the duck, but my friend did, and couldn't stop raving about the marinated duck in soya sauce.
The price is a big high, and will need reservations, but its well worth the cost!
There are two types of Chinese food - Authentic Chinese, and the kind that most non-Asian people eat. Mekong is the second of the two! You won't find any east Asians in here besides the wait staff, but if you're like me and Westernized is how you like your Chinese, this is a good choice.
The curry beef egg rolls and Moo See Chicken were good, but the vegetarian egg rolls were oilier than necesary. We were surprised that the General Tao's chicken wasn't crispy. Nothing here is actually spicy even if you ask for it to be, so make sure to get extra hot sauce on the side. The portions are generous, so make sure you share.
All in all, this is a nice date spot, but I'm not aching to check it out again.
