Review from Angela M.
I was actually confused with the last review, because as an asian person, eating a lot of asian food, most places are relatively cheap, unless you are hitting up some lobster or sushi.
The ambiance is pretty spectacular, and they do a great job at making the place seem really classy. They were pretty busy on a Thursday night, around 6PM, especially for such a low traffic area (considering the mall is a couple blocks away).
Our waitress was amazing, and really sweet. We ordered our drinks, boyfriend getting the banana creme pie alcohol blend, while I got one of their berry tea fusion alcohol blends. They were both really tasty, something I would be willing to go back for.
Food-wise, we ordered the vegetable tempura, Pad Thai, and the chicken curry dish (the name escapes me).
The Vege Tempura in itself was yummy, but the tempura dipping sauce wasn't. In fact, it kind of tasted like dipping it into water, it had that little taste in it. The Pad Thai came out and I was just so... disappointed. Having made thai food before, I know that you have to take the time to separate all the rice noodles apart, something they didn't bother doing. Having clumps of noodles were bland, and the sauce they made for the pad thai was too sweet. They also were missing the peanuts, and lacked the higher presence of bean sprouts and carrots that usually accommodate the pad thai.
The Chicken curry was mostly potato, something the waitress did warn us about, but didn't realize just how much potato until later. The rice to curry ratio was depressing, they just completely skimped on the curry and gave us a lot of rice to make us feel like we were getting what we paid for.
Having eaten about 1/3 of our food and basically hitting the food wall of bland and boring food, we ordered dessert. We go the deep fried banana, which was good, but a little overpriced for the tiny portion size.
I don't see myself returning here, except for pre-date cocktails. The food was just... bad. Really good service though -

Nice looking restaurant. Service was great.
Food was really poor. Pho was incredibly salty, without being the least bit flavourful. The grill bowl was mediocre at best.
Pricey for lunch.
