This is a great little place to find unique Canadian-made clothing. What's not to like about that?
The folks there are really friendly and happy to give you any and all advice on what you should try on and what looks good on you. They will even do alterations for you if they see fit.
It reminds me of going in to a really high end store in Europe where you have a personal assistant to help you with your shopping but with a rustic feel.
I'm a guy an they've been working on getting more clothes specifically made for us in but so far the selection is fairly small for guys.
It's expensive, yes, but well worth it. -

Cute little boutique in St.Albert as well as one just opened in Downtown Edmonton. They carry the Annie 50 brand which is why I sought the store out. I fell in love with a dress in Jasper but didn't want to pay for it at that price/ until I found more out about the brand. I tracked down the Edmonton stores that carried the brand and emailed Meese. The owner was really friendly and put it on hold for me. I went in the next day and got it and I'm in love with it and will wear it to work all the time in the New Year. Expensive but carries good quality brands! Really cute boutique and a really fantastic owner!

How would you like to buy a purse shaped like an oversized perogy or pizza pocket? No? Okay, maybe that's not for everyone. It's the first thing that caught my eye when I walked in the store.
This store is completely Canadian! They're very locally loyal with kitchy Canadiana decor. They carry several brands of clothing from Canadian designers including their very own stuff that they can actually customize for you right IN THE STORE! How cool is that? I've never seen anything like it. The sales girl showed me the rack where their stuff was and said that if I liked a particular style but wanted different colors or something, just let them know and they'll make it happen.
I was also impressed that they carry real woman sizes. I'm sorry but size 0 simply shouldn't exist. Zero = nothing. Trust me, I was that size in grade 6. Most of the clothing on the racks of this store are average sizes. They have some really cool and unique stuff, mainly for women though some of the t-shirts could be unisex. They even have a tiny sale rack!
If you're looking for something you won't find anywhere else, this is the spot. -

As far as local designers go, Tressa is my favorite. Not just because she's my friend, or because I shoot for her all the time and salivate over every single thing in her store, nor is it because she's so amazing she made my wedding dress, but because of all of these things and more! Tressa will style you and give you candid opinions about what looks good and what doesn't. Completely Canadian designers, great jewelry and an in-house line call Sessa that fits a woman's body in all the right places. Inspired by cowboy culture and 1950's cuts this season, the designs are lovely, especally my fav dress in indigo.
