    10/26/2011 2 Check-ins Here

I was a little wary of this place so I wanted to wait until I had 3 or 4 visits to evaluate it fairly. They had been accepting new patients for a bit and being downtown and all and so close to where I spend most of my time, I thought it was too good to be true, so I waited to review it.

If you need an appointment you get one within three days, not a week or a month. I applied to be a new patient and they took a few months assigning me to a family doctor, but I could go in for clinic visit between. After I had been assigned, I've only had a few appointments but they've been very thorough and for almost all of them I've only had to wait for 10-15 minute maximum. The last one they had forgotten to check me in so I waited 45 minutes, but they apologized profusely and it really wasn't an issue since I was used to waiting for an hour at my old family doctor.

The doctors and nurses have all been very pleasant, professional, and easy to talk to. I've had 50/50 good luck with receptionists but considering it's a doctors office that's a very small issue to have.

They don't have one of those money-grubbing policies where you can only have one issue per visit, as far as I've dealt with so far. My family doctor listens and has been great so far. Convenience = 5, wait time = 5, doctors  = 5, nurses = 5, reception = 4... really for a doctors office you can't get much better.

Waves coffee shop is awesome, there's no "no" cell phone policy, this is a gold mine for any downtown worker :)

I live in, and primarily work in, downtown, and so I find this is an excellent location just in the +15 above a Tim Horton's.
This is not a traditional walk-in clinic, but the medical receptionists are always happy to book the earliest possible appointment for you. Make sure you have your AHC card [and driver's license if you're a first-time patient].
The waiting area is the most interesting I have ever seen, since it is in correllation to a coffee bar. They have pretty good prices at that coffee bar, as well as a great sense of style. This helps make waiting for the doctor a little less stressful.

I find that the doctors themselves are very thorough when examining patients, as they ask a lot of questions and will send you for tests if they deem neccessary. I have been to other doctors in the past that hardly look at me before they write a prescription, so this is comforting :)

If you like it urban & trendy, and you want your doctor to take you seriously as a patient, then this is the place for you!

Great Location! That is about the only good thing that I have to say about this place.

When you first try to become a patient, the clinic makes you meet with a random doctor that won't be yours.  Seems like a way of getting more money out of the government to me.  Then eventually when you get assigned a doctor (which took close to 2 months) you get to do the whole thing over again (during this visit, you can't get anything dealt with).

The medical service was not exceptional.  I have had better experiences at the medicenter in Westhills.

The worst part of the whole experience is the pathetically rude behaviour from the people behind the front desk and  from the nurses. For example, when i forgot my doctor's name, they said and I quote "Shame on you".   Also, I was really sick at work and called for an appointment.  Unfortunately, one was not available that day.  So the receptionist told me to come just after 9 because another doctor was coming on duty and I could get in faster.  When I showed up at 9:04, they rudely turned me away implying that I was the one in the wrong and that other people showed up during those 4 minutes.  HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!
