My parents used to bring my sister and I here when we were kids for our birthdays or other special occasions. I have a lot of fond memories of delicious pizza while coloring crayons or watching through the large windows as the kitchen staff made magic. I always felt treated and special when we got to go to Me-N-Ed's for dinner.

Fast forward a handful of years and I suddenly understand why we only dined here as a treat. A large pizza comes in at just under $28!!! Lost a star from me here, because I just can't justify eating here very often due to the prices. But let me tell you, if I could afford to make this my staple pizza joint, I would. Because ya, it is just that good.

While I know that Pizza Hut or Dominos don't charge anywhere near this much for a pie, I also know that the quality you receive from Me-N-Eds is far superior.  As others have mentioned, it is a thin crust, but who needs a thick greasy slab of dough sitting in the stomach? Not me! I'd much prefer to gorge myself on toppings and that's what makes this pizza second to none.

The toppings are always fresh (and put on with quite a heavy hand I should add) the crust is ALWAYS perfect, and the left overs NEVER survive more than 12 hours.

Decent pizza, thin crust style, with lots of options.

As the sign says, it's a family place.  Which means lots of screaming kids.  In fact, there was a young boys hockey league having a celebration there, with about 30+ kids and and their parents.  Not my idea of a pleasant atmosphere, but I don't really like kids...

Service was pretty good, so that was nice.  The pizza options were interesting and varied.  The prices are rather high, though.  And the "glass of beer" for $4+ was practically child's sized.  Not that you should be giving your kid a beer, but the glass was small.  Go with their pint.  It's not a proper pint, but a better value.

The smoked salmon pizza was good.  Nice balance of the creamy sauce, the salmon and the tartness of the capers.  The Soprano was good, too, but could have used a bit more topping (not nearly as much as is shown on their menu).  The way the tomatoes and basil were put on it was hard to keep them on the pizza, so they fell everywhere.

I did like the option of having whole wheat crust for no extra charge.  And the crust was good.

Overall, not a bad place.  I like the pizza, but I would probably just get it to go the next time.  It's not the best pizza ever, but if you want a thin crust pizza there aren't a ton of options around.

Went there last night for a board game meet-up. The back of the restaurant has a lot of table and benches which can be rearranged for groups and special occasions.

Pros: extremely friendly and fast service, excellent variety of pizzas including some unique combinations, pretty decent pizza overall; daily specials

Cons: a little dark (especially to play games), music a little too loud

I've eaten at Me n Eds since I was about 10 years old and it's always been my favorite thin crust pizza. I dont think i've ever tried a pizza from this place that I didn't like. The pie crust is the best part, with layers of thin crisp crust that comes from the hand made and hand tossed dough. YUM.

No. Better. Pizza. For those who like a thin crust, Me N Eds is unbeatable. It's not cheap (though the lunch deal is very reasonable), but worth it. What they do with mushrooms -- so thin -- is so much better than anywhere else. Love the Soprano. Their lasagne is good too, and I've never had a bad dessert there. It's also so great for kids. I have travelled the world and tried all kinds of pizzas -- Italy, NYC, etc., -- but when I'm away I always long for Me N Eds.

    Six words:

    Smoked  ~  Salmon  ~  and  ~  Roasted  ~  Garlic  ~  Pizza

Period. Always. Every time. Sooooooo good!

Alright, so that's for me. The youngins usually get pepperonni or cheese. The dining room is very family friendly. Not a place I'd go on a date but a great place to take the kids. Prices are fair and the quality of the pizza is very good. Service is hit or miss.

Good lord this is good pizza. It's a bit on the pricey side, but it's very worth it if you have the cash. They're so fresh and creative from the ingredients to the topping combinations, mmmm. Didn't you always want smoked salmon and roasted garlic on your pizza? Well, now that I mentioned it you do, don't you? Damn straight. It's a whole different food compared to pizza-by-the-slice. You feel good, satisfied, not... icky, before during and after this pizza experience. Check it out!

***Warning thick crust pizza lovers proceed with caution***

As noted above me n eds serves a famous thin crust pizza. It's so thin and unique you can compare to a cracker fused with a light pastry like croissant or something made with filo. They serve up many unique and delicious pies. My personal favourite is the thai one. It comes with crunchy noodles, chicken, loads of green onions, and peanut sauce. Hhhmmmm hhhmmmm nom nom deliciousness.

My only complaint is the bloody high priced. 23 dollars for a large pizza? WTFBBQ??? Curse you overhead costs of the dine in experience. Because of this I can only make bi yearly visits to this pizza haven.

Besides the fact of taking a chunk out of my checking account. This place knows how to make a pie. Its most likely one of the better places in town. It's has 4+ locations to prove it. So spoil yourself and come on down to this parlor. You only live once. :)

Last night the man and I decided we didn't want to cook and since Me & Eds was right there AND had a special on for their large pepperoni pizza's that's where we went :)!

I almost gave this place only 3 stars as the cashier left LOADS to be desired. Since it's not in the best location we thought we would park in front on the street. Of course it's paid parking until 8 but that wasn't what bothered us. When we walked in we asked for some change to pay the meter and the person at the cash looked like she'd been put out and how could we ask such a thing. Wow! It's not like we weren't coming in to sit down, have a pie, beers and watch the game. She was sour the rest of the evening, at least from our vantage point she was.

On to the pie. It was delish. I like me some pepperoni pie on whole wheat crust that just a little crispy. Not doughy at all, which I adore. The crispy not the doughy. I was also able to get me a pint of 1516...ahhhh how you taste heavenly. The man was drinking root beer since he was driving.

Our waitress was a dream. She made up for the cashier. She smiled, she refilled without asking, was cleaning up while not busy (I know because it was right by us) and made the evening very pleasant. She deserved the tip and she is the reason I will go back, well her and the pizza pie.

You know I like Me and Eds. BUT, they are pretty expensive especially when we are talking thin crust. You definitely pay a lot for it but the crust is unique and very tasty. The combos are unbelievable, peroghy pizza you name it. Godfather is a good one. They are definitely old school and they have a little patio to the side of the restaurant.
Speciality custom-made fire brick ovens are what seals in all that flavour and their menu is so innovative with their Pizzas around the world section. They also have speciality subs and pastas.
I don't go that often but they are an old favourite and they deliver.

    The pizza here is amazzing!

But I used to be friends with some of the staff and they told me a ton of people have had sex in the kitchen and walk-in cooler.. but it gets cleaned i think, so its not really a big deal.

Also the manager lady or owner whoever she is, with the light blonde hair is always yelling, i was sitting near the front and she pretty much ruined my meal, but it did taste really good so whatever!

I love Me-and-Ed's pizza, whether we eat in at the restaurant or have it delivered. It's thin-crust style pizza with lots of good-quality toppings. My favourite is the Godfather with roasted garlic, tomatoes, and lots of Parm cheese. They also do some crazier stuff, like the Perogy (eh) the Mexican, a taco-style pizza, which is best consumed when you are not pathetically drunk.

The restaurant is pretty old school, with high wooden booths with vinyl seats and checkered tile floors. They serve "bottomless" pop in those sturdy plastic cups, which somehow always makes me feel like I'm a kid at somebody's birthday pizza party. Or maybe it's just because half the times we go there, some kid is having a birthday party.

Unfortunately, they have no Vancouver locations, so delivery of these fine pies are only available in the 'burbs.

Okay, this is pretty weird pizza.  The toppings are generous and of good quality, but that crust!  It's like a flaky pastry crust.  Reminds me also of a Jacobs Cream Cracker, but you might not get that reference unless you've eaten a lot of crackers in England.  Never mind, it's just the weirdest example of a pizza crust I have ever had.

Now maybe you think I'm being pedantic because if people like this strange crust, what's the harm?  Well, the point is, I've come for a pizza, not a quiche or a some kind of pie or an omelet, but a pizza.   Had a pizza at a Greek restaurant that was quite tasty, but more like a quiche than a pizza.  So in reviewing it as a pizza, it's just not a great pizza.

Me and Eds pizza is interesting, but it just doesn't rate as a real pizza with that strange flaky pastry crust.  The crust is really the most important part of the pizza, which is why I give it low marks.

Strange dry tasting pizza with weird toppings like broccoli.  Crust taste quite odd - thin, dry, and tasteless, toppings don't taste very fresh and they totally lack cheese which is disappointing.  I first tried Me-N-Ed's over 20 years ago. A little over 20 years later, it still fails to impress me.

However,  this is truly an old school pizza place which opened in the 1960's and it's still in its original form! Seats and tables are made out of solid wood and the pizzas are cooked in a fire oven - old school to the max. This location was Michael J. Fox's favourite pizza hangout and he raves about this pizza.  Sorry, I can't rave about it myself.  I think this restaurant is all about eating inside the place because it has so much history and it's so old for a pizza joint.  Pizzas, sure, they're not the best, but you're experiencing a piece of Burnaby history.

If you want a BACK TO THE FUTURE EXPERIENCE, this is the place. And with endorsements from Michael J. Fox, this is Burnaby's most unique dining experiences.

The attraction of this joint is probably how cool it looks, but the pizza doesn't do it for me. The crust reminds me a little bit of when mcDonald's did pizza; that biscuity crust with no gluten.

It's kinda sad that I would take panago over theirs (especially for the price), but i wouldn't throw it up or anything.

I just wouldn't take someone here if I wanted to impress them at all.

Prices are pretty expensive. Especially for a pop $2.35~!? I can buy 2 cans at the dollar store!
Food is not bad. But still, I wouldn't order pop at all.

This was the first pizza place I was introduced to as a kid and I always come back...it helps that I live only a few blocks away again and I've hooked all my friends :)

The original location started in Burnaby on Hall Ave and they now have locations in Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Langley and Abbotsford. Check their website for more info.

I'm a big fan of the thin crust, Pepperoni Mondays and Two Toppings Tuesdays. I find the following pizzas seem to be the most popular when ordering for a large crowd: Gangster, Greek, Perogy and Godfather.

The pizza is never greasy and it's great reheated the next day: heating instructions are on the box! The salads are ok, meat lasagna isn't anything special but the wings are good.

It's a fun place to go hang with the gang! If you walk in to pick up, it's usually ready in 15 - 20 mins...if you get it delivered, be forewarned - they are popular and waiting 45 mins to 1 hour and 15mins is not unusual.

This pizza is quite good and you don't feel gross after eating it either. It's not super greasy and the ingredients are unique and innovative.  I wish it was slightly closer to where I lived and I'd go there more often.  I agree with Christine about the old school wooden booths. It's cool! All part of the ambiance.

We had a great experience at Me-n-ed's last weekend. I was looking for a place with a little old school atmosphere to host a casual birthday dinner for a friend. Me-n-Ed's was above and beyond what I hoped for.  The high backed wooden booths and checkered floor tiles provided that "kids birthday party in 1980" feeling (the screaming toddlers at the table next to us probably didn't hurt either). The pizzas we ordered were all delicious. The Godfather and BBQ chicken were favorites. The chicken wings were roasted, not friend and the hot sauce had the right amount of zing. Our server was amazing and not only comped us a birthday dessert (Mile High Mud Pie - enough said), but threw in an extra jug of beer on the house! He was attentive and our drinks were always full! All in all, it was a great night. This is definitely a family friendly place and I would recommend the pizza for an anytime craving or take your whole crew for a real pizza parlor experience!
