Review from Amador A.
Came in and got the Vanilla Roll Cake which was very good. It was moist as if it were just made. Prices are good compared to other bakeries in Flushing. I like that they make Bubble Tea, Tea and other types of drinks there. If you are in the mood for a quick hot snack they also have hot pork/chicken/beef buns in the warmer to the side.
Place can get a bit busy during rush hour so get ready to be bumped by some old Asian woman. -

Dirt Cheap Chinese Bakery in Downtown Flushing. Ham and Cheese Bun for $1? HELL YES PLEASE. The selections are decent and prices are too good to be true. Most bread items are $1-2. Drinks tend to be more expensive than food items here. My Iced Green Tea was $2.50 while my Ham and Cheese Bun and Corn Bun totaled $2. I took away some points as the ladies here don't speak English. I requested a Longan Drink and she kept yelling "WHAT??" So I said politely "Longan", she still didn't understand and stared at me like if I was weird or something. Finally, decided to point it out on the menu and then she says "LOAN-GAHNNNN~" in Chinese. Ugh~ how am I supposed to even know how they are pronounced lady...plus in Korea, Longans don't even exist

Small, concise, and neat, this is the closest bakery to my apartment. It's not usually crowded in the morning since it's further from the train station than most bakeries (e.g. Taipan. Fay Da, etc)
I like the fact that most of the buns are pre-wrapped and you can actually buy steamed ones too. Went in, grabbed about 13 buns for a party for work, paid for everything and was out within 2 minutes. The lady even asked if I needed a receipt (in case I need to list it as a business expense). Awesome bakery! -

I was taking some classes across the street when I discovered Maxin on my lunch break. I love the peanut pancakes and they also have a nice selection of tasty "granola-ish" bars for someone looking for a slightly healthier option. Prices are incredibly cheap and the whole bakery is clean and neat. I usually don't come to Flushing, but whenever I am in the area, I'm sure to stop here.

I love, love, love Chinese pastries and Maxin for the most part delivered. While the chocolate cake (a steal at $1.80) was amazing and light, the red bean sesame bun was loaded with oil and wasn't nearly as good as ones I've had in the past. This store is super tiny but has a pretty decent selection of pastries and buns for take out.

Got the sesame roll and it was SO good! A great sesame flavor in a soft and sweet roll, with JUUUUUST enough creme. Bought a red bean bao for my bf and he found it to be very good (def a 4 star bao in his opinion). I got the black tea bubble tea, and while the bubbles were awful, the tea was absolutely amazing - like I remember it in Taiwan! A little more pricey than other Chinese bakeries, but pretty tasty none-the-less. Also great, convenient location. Would I come back? YES!!!

Usually stop here before boarding the LIRR. It is super clean and the staff (mostly women) is super quick. The baked goods are neatly organized and tempting. They make various Iced tea flavors. I have only tried the honey green tea. Although it was not my favorite, I look foward to trying a different flavor.
