I went back for a second hair cut 3-4 weeks ago again with Linda and I loved it. I've never had so many compliments on any other hair cut as I did this one and I was so surprised! I think I will be frequenting Maude. It's so good!
And the ambience of the salon itself is so trendy with all sorts of neat products and local designer jewelry to peruse through.Listed in: Reena M's Guide to Kitsilano

I was a bit disappointed considering the reviews.
I'm always open to trying new places and thought Maude would be worth a stop. It's got a quieter location now on 3rd Avenue near Burrard and a lot of street parking nearby.
The salon is small, bright and clean. Receptionist is friendly. But, my cut is so-so - the back part is nice but the front and sides are only OK.
I've had it about a week and my hair doesn't have the shape I can get normally after a fresh cut... I figured it's bad when one of my friends asked me why my hair looked different - sigh, 'different' is not usually a good sign. If it's nice, most people just say it's nice, not different.
The stylist I had was OK, but one of my favorite things to do is catch up on magazines when I'm getting my hair done, and this one's preference is for clients not to read during cuts. I suppose it makes sense, but it's never been an issue in the years I've had the Posh bob.
Prices are fair and everyone is nice, so it might just have been a client/stylist mismatch. -

Still a HUGE fan of Maude ... just wanted to let everyone know Maude will soon be moving to a new location, albeit not far from its current space. thought it was pretty expensive and the stylist didn't get the fact i told her i wanted to keep the lenght of my hair... she chopped off a huge chunk of it... the highlights turned orangy after a week... hated!!!
