Milestone's Restaurant located in Masonville Mall
I have been to Milestones on a number of occasions with friends and family to celebrate numerous events. Its good to to make a reservation, but if you don't, the wait isn't that bad. The London Milestones is located in Masonville mall, so you get one of this wireless transponders that works in the entire mall, so you can wander the mall when you wait! I really like the atmosphere, they have an open concept kitchen, so the you can see then entire kitchen behind glass walls (something I think is really cool!) The food is amazing, I have been there for dinner and once for brunch/lunch. The food takes a while to arrive, good food makes up for a longer wait!
List of food I have had/recommend:
YUMMY YAM FRITES - really good!
WORLD INSPIRED DIPS WITH GRILLED NAAN AND CIABATTA TOASTS - 3 dips all unique and tasty
CRISPY HONEY PHYLLO SHRIMP - ok, kind of boring and a bit greasy
PORTOBELLO MUSHROOM CHICKEN - amazing! large portion size
ITALIAN SAUSAGE RAVIOLI - very good (the plate is rectangular and a bit hard to handle)
INSPIRED BURGER TOPPINGS - America - really good (good with yam frites on side)
FIRE-GRILLED WILD COHO SALMON - ok, salmon was a bit dry and the rectangular plate was hard to handle
SESAME SHIITAKE MUSHROOM SEA BASS - good, bass really well done
GRILLED CHICKEN CORN HASH - brunch, really good, enormous portion size
MILESTONE'S ORIGINAL BELLINI - good -

Masonville is a shopping pedestrian's worst nightmare. It may boast some of the most popular stores in the city, but getting around to them is nearly impossible if you don't own a car. There are several large strip-malls that surround Masonville Place; the end result is an ugly mix of traffic congestion and dreary parking lots.
Getting here on the bus is a punishing ordeal. The local transit system created an "island" bus terminal far away from the mall; I'm sure Sears is happy that shoppers no longer use the West entrance as shelter from rain and snow. Instead, transit passengers now have to stand inside ineffective glass shelters that provide little comfort from cold temperatures and serve as heat incubators all summer long. Transferring between routes is a futile endeavor for the most part since drivers don't wait long enough for other routes to arrive.
If you do own a car, Masonville is a headache to navigate at the best of times. The surplus of parking lots and shortage of law-abiding drivers can make a simple trip harrowing as a driver and lethal if you take your chances and walk.
There are no parks or green space anywhere nearby, and things don't seem to be getting better here. I find this place depressing. -

I spent many a stoned Saturday afternoon walking Masonville with my friends. It is a great distraction for any Western student (male) looking to check out other Western students (females), who are likely to either be dressed to the nines, or wearing tight fitting sweat pants.
In terms of North London this is pretty much THE mall. It's right at Richmond and Fanshawe Pakr rd and there are tonnes of other establishments in the area so it can definitely be a one stop shop should you so desire. -

For one reason or another I find myself at Masonville mall almost once a week. Whether it's to sit back, relax and catch a movie at the attached Silver City, or I'm just browsing the many stores that the mall has to offer such as Champs, Foot Locker, American Eagle, EB Games, Sears, The Bay, tip top tailors, Guess, chocolate shops, jewelry stores, etc etc, the list goes. Or maybe eating at Milestone's, the upscale chain restaurant located on the second floor. They have almost everything for your shopping needs!
If you happen to be in the Masonville area check it out! It's a great place to go and hang out for a day of shopping and excitement! -

For better or for worse, Masonville is the main mall for north London. It's a pretty good mid-sized mall, although the layout is really annoying. There are two levels, each with halls laid out in a big triangle, which makes it really easy to lose your sense of direction and get lost. It doesn't help that there aren't very many escalators between the two levels, and they don't seem to be in convenient spots.
Masonville also serves as a bus terminus, and it's got a little concrete island at the edge of the parking lot where all the buses stop. There are glass semi-shelters which really suck in the winter, since they don't provide much protection from the cold or the wind. If you're stuck taking the bus, make sure you know the schedule so you can hang around in the mall until just before it shows up.
