After several outings post-floor hockey fun times, I have grown to quite like Martini's.  The food is decent, the prices very reasonable, and the service friendly and fun.

I did notice last night that their Monday and Thursday Martini Special has increased to $5, but it is still a very good price for a 2 oz. drink in this city.  Beer prices are also decent, with the option of a glass or a pint available, which makes it easier for those of us driving to just have a glass and not worry.  They even have a few good beers on tap, too.  Like Blue Buck, Naramata Nut Brown (recently out, but I appreciate them bringing it in), and others.

Food is pretty good.  I wasn't thrilled by the calamari I tried, but I love the $5 wild salmon taco, which is healthy and good for a quick snack when you don't want a whole meal and don't want to pay for the cost of one, either.  The dill chicken salad was filling and tasty.  I would eat it again.  I still have yet to try the pizza.  Maybe next time.

All our visits have been met with excellent service.  The staff are nice, friendly, and even funny.  This is a busy place, and they get run off their feet a lot, but that doesn't stop them from enjoying their customers.

Rock on Martini's.  I shall be back.

Haven't had take out from here in a while but my wife had a craving for their tasty house salad and I just wanted to order out again. hehe.

I ordered a wild salmon dish and a regular sized salad.  I thought the wild salmon was a bit overcooked.  I had a feeling it might have been overdone because the waiter I ordered from said it would be ready in 15 minutes and they brought it out 18 minutes later so I guess it went 3 minutes over cooked.  Next time, I'll bring the egg timer for their kitchen.

I love this place. My boyfriend introduced me to this place and whenever we want some yummy hot  food we come here!

Their calamari is my favorite!! Seriously I'm a big calamari fan and they make it just right and I've even brought my parents here and trust me, they are picky eaters and they love it too!!!!!!!

Also... I LOVE there French onion soup!!! Seriously.... It even beats Burgoo's French onion soup. Not too salty but just enough flavor =]

I normally get there whole wheat delicious pizza or there spicy sausage penne , which again is pretty damn good. I'm okay with there dessert but nothing fancy, but then again... Im not realt a dessert kind of person. All my money well spent in this place here =]

This use to be my Friday night hang out after work with my co workers.  This was when I worked a few blocks away from Martinis.

A Few reasons that kept us going back:

    1. extensive menu.. quality food, huge portions and perfect for sharing
    2. drink specials
    3. small, cozy place with a familiar crowd
    4. open till very late
    5. nachos

I recently went back to Martinis and still loved it as much as before.  Great food, service and location. :)

This is my go-to place for delivery pizza in Vancouver. They're busy so expect an average 1 hour delivery time. Haven't eaten at the restaurant lately but has always been good in the past. My favourite is Specialty #12: chorizo, sun-dried tomatoes and mushrooms.

I haven't been to Martini's in over 2 years.  Last night, we finally remembered to come back and decided to have dinner here.

I ordered the Dill Chicken salad.  It came with cheese, raisins, pineapple and pine nuts.  I'm not a huge fan of the fruit in my salad so I mainly picked those out myself.  The dill flavor was strong and I loved that.  The pine nuts added a nice texture to the salad as well.

The Calamari Dinner was delicious.  Not overly breaded and chewy.. not to mention a great deal too!

Thanks for maintaining your high standards in food and service, Martini's!

My friend Heather LOVES this place - she will always come here with her husband and raves about the pizzas and deals..... so we took up their invitation for a dinner here one night (Heather if you read this - thank you!)

The place was pretty packed when we walked in and our table was waiting for us at 7:30. Everyone seemed super nice as they walked by and sat us. Their menu is extensive with something for everyone. Their pizza selection is endless with not only lots of meat options, but just as many vegetarian. I could not decide what I wanted... because I kept changing my mind as another delicious plate came out.

We decided to get the calamari to share, which was not overly breaded and was nice a chewy. The tzsasiki sauce was very dippable!

Just when I thought I had made my decision, a giant piece of chicken with sauce covered all over it shows up at the next table - I found out it was the Mediterranean chicken which was stuff with bail proscuitto and sundried tomatoes ( I could be incorrect on this, but it was stuffed with a lota good stuff). On top of that - it was topped with a whole lota sauce, a hefty portion of mashed potatoes, some vegetables, and a very large piece of garlic bread. Boy was I excited to eat!

Sharing that and a side of ribs, which was just as tasty, everything was eventually eaten. I even tried a slice of pizza which was loaded with toppings, unlike the skimpy places. The crust had a good crunch and it did not feel heavy either.

I so wish I had come here sooner because everything was done so well. Portions are large and not overly expensive. Nothing was bad and it's not often you find places that deliver consistency across their menu. Their manager is super nice.... if you get a chance to talk to him, he'll win your heart over!

Upscale decor and reasonably priced, but lousy pizza. The cheese tasted like it was Tombstone-quality and the crust, instead of celebrating its whole-grain heartiness, had all the interest of a crispy piece of cardboard. I probably got what was coming to me, ordering an artichoke and tomato pizza in the depths of winter, but I'll bet you money that the ingredients don't taste any fresher in summer. Service was weird and abrupt: they tended to disappear when we wanted them and re-appear when we didn't. And switched at least once.

Is it sad that my advice for the pizza joint is to not order the pizza? Because it doesn't compete with Megabite on taste, though it's a considerably nicer place to sit around at with a friend and a few beers.

Long Time Customer First Time Reviewer.  This is a great Pizza and West Coast Greek Style place. Whole Wheat Pizza with Tasty Veggie Toppings what i mostly order.  I like a extra tomato sauce on the side and top my pizza, which and it makes just right for me. They make good Fresh Salads a Tasty Chicken Breast Stuffed with Jalapeños and Topped with a white Gallic sauce.. Eric the Manger does a nice job and the staff  work together to make your visit a enjoyable Also the  Beer is priced right. I really enjoy they fact they do not have TV's so I can eat my meal and relax.

My friends and I were looking for a place for appies and drinks, and since the wait at Burgoo was at least an hour, we went searching for something else. Martini's was close, so we decided to revisit it.

The last time we were here my friend and I had really great tossed green salads (not your typical craving, I know), so the three of us opted to get the kalamari dinner and subbed the Greek salad for the tossed green salad, with no problem at all. We also had the spicy honey-lemon chicken wings served with dill dip. For drinks, my friend had a caesar, and I got a Long Island Iced Tea. Dessert was mud pie.

The salad was just as good as the first time we had it; I'm not sure what kind of dressing they use. The kalamari was decent, nothing too exciting. The wings were also nothing special but they weren't bad. My Long Island was good, but not strong. The mud pie was delicious, and the slice was large enough for the three of us to share.

Overall, Martini's is a reliable stand-by for decent food at a reasonable price. You're not gonna go wrong choosing this place, but don't expect anything extraordinary.

Food: salads, standard appetizers like wings, nachos, and dips; pasta, a selection of Greek standards, and a long list of what Martini's is known for: pizza
Price: very reasonable, and the portions are pretty generous.
Service: polite, but not exactly what I would call friendly
Ambiance: nice, cozy decor. It kind of looks like a log cabin inside.

Maybe it helps that my expectations were initially low based on the name alone, but I really like Martini's!

The name conjured up images of a dimly lit lounge with purple lights and fancy people everywhere... so I was pleasantly shocked to find it's more like a log cabin inside!  Couldn't have been more different than what I had imagined.

The drink prices are crazy cheap.  Especially beer and their daily drink specials, eg. double highballs and 2oz martinis for $4.50, and $3.20 pints.

I've tried the artichoke, feta and tomato pizza, which was stellar, and the nachos, which were probably a 4 out of 5.  The drinks have been pretty good but not standout.

No complaints about service, they get the job done.  Overall a great place for some pizza and a cheap drink!  Since they're so cheap... make that many drinks!

Martinis is a good go-to for good value for your food. It's a nice place to go to catch up with friends  - the few times I've been there we've been able to get a table right away without having to wait.

I had the kalamari dinner  -  it was tender with hot, crispy batter. They used the right amount of red onion to give it flavour, not overpowering the dish at all. The greek salad was a nice surprise only because it was later in the evening so usually the salad tastes like it's been sitting for awhile. Not this time - it was fresh, crispy and it was evenly portioned with onions, cucumber, peppers, feta and tomatoes (I hate it when all you get is onion with a few green peppers and a tomato).

My friend ordered the clubhouse and it was HUGE.

I also appreciate the the servers are attentive but they are not intrusive and slip in and out refilling drinks without interrupting.

My buddy Chris and I randomly decided to try the Italian cuisine at Martini's. It is a nice, small-sized Italian eatery in the Broadway area just before Main Street. We kicked back with a couple Raven Cream Ales.

I had the Chorizo Penne Sauté and was delighted with its generous portion, flavour, and meaty content. the chorizo sausage bits were big and plentiful. The peppers and mushrooms were a nice compliment to penne pasta.

Chris had the #23, shrimp, mushrooms, and feta cheese pizza. He gobbled the whole thing up fast and happily commenting on its good taste and flavour.

We both thought it was a good meal with nice portions at reasonable prices. Our stomachs were full of Italian goodness and beer leaving the joint.

in a town that is awash with top end, tasting, tapas and chain places it's nice to go to a local place that simply has good food. nothing pretentious here. I took my parents and husband for lunch and we all loved our meals. I can be quite a food snob at times and expect quality along with some value:hard to find sometimes. The pastas were excellent, steak sandwich perfect and only $11 and of course the pulled pork sandwich I had. I can honestly say THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST PULLED PORK SANDWICHES IN TOWN. I have tried the BBQ places, Deacons and a few assorted others. This was by far the juiciest, largest portion of meat with a nice dose of BBQ to flavour it all up..thanks, we shall return for another no fuss meal.

I remember the first time I went to Martini's. It was to meet up with a bunch of friends. I sat down and marveled at their awesome weekly specials that were plastered all over the walls and a tinge of sadness came over me as I realized I was there on a Friday, which is not their best weekly special.

I did return a few weeks later on a Sunday for their "buy a pizza and get a pitcher of beer for only $10." A pitcher of good beer (Granville Island) for only $10 always sounds good to me. On Wednesdays, you can get a pitcher for $10 without even buying 'zaa! As you can see, I have a crush on weekly specials, that are actually specials. Not those pretend ones that are $15 dollar pitchers on a Tuesday, which are usually $18 every other day of the week. They also have a double Caesar for $5 on Saturdays! Slap me in the face and call me Dorothy, that's awesome!

Okay, I'll move on. The rustic, woodsy interior is a nice change of pace from the super modern places that exist in the downtown core and the funky, whole-in-the-walls that exist in East Van. It almost feels like a ski lodge bar/restaurant inside.

Surprisingly, Martini's stays open late every night of the week (Mon-Thurs 1am) and weekend (Fri-Sat 2am, Sun 12am), which makes it a great place to simply socialize with larger groups. You rarely have to wait for a table (and I've been there early and late) and you can go with a large group (I've gone with 10+ and we all had a seat at the same table).

However, my only one real gripe, for a place that feels more like an upscale pub than a restaurant, is that there are no TV's. In my opinion, this is the perfect setting to go watch a Canuck game with a bunch of friends that's much nicer than the standard pub.

The big things about martini's for me are this:
-huge selection for takeout. pasta, pizza, stake, souvlaki. whatever the hell you feel like you can order it.
-you can order whatever the hell you feel like LATE i think it's open til 2 or 3 for delivery.

However I've never really been all that fond of the quality of food. I guess it's give and take and I'm not going to complain about dry chicken when it's being delivered to me at 1 AM.

Food isn't awful though I enjoy it mostly, I am fond of the thin crust vegetarian pizza there. As well as their big ass meatballs.

Martini's is best known for their whole wheat pizzas--a dish they wholly pride themselves on. Crisp, thin crusts topped with an assortment of ingredients guaranteed to please everyone who steps foot into the joint.

Other than pizza, the rest of the menu items are pretty broad and eclectic. There are six or seven starter salads (which are often large enough to constitute a full meal in themselves), as well as a range of dips like humus, and tzatziki. A long-standing favourite amongst my family is their garlic and cheddar prawns. Though on the oily side, it's a nice and tasty appetizer and perfect for dipping too.

The mains range from burgers, sandwiches and pastas to steaks, lamb and ribs. Pretty much every standard meat makes an appearance in the menu is some way, shape or form. Vegetarian options are scarce when compared to what's available for those with carnivorous appetites but there's still enough to keep you full.

The atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming giving it a kind of family vibe, with various drink specials throughout the week to draw in a younger crowd. Parking's a bit rough so be sure to factor in some time circling the block.

Once again Martini's came through for us. It was a cold and rainy night.....  -no really it was. But, it was warm and welcoming inside.
Unfortunately the staff have turned over, people do move on. They are working in some new folks, so it's not running as smoothly as before, but I'm sure it will improve again.
The food is just as good as the first time we went. Our server was really accommodating to my diet restrictions. Gaaawwwd what I would give to eat that gorgeous looking pizza -argh! but alas, I had the juicy Roasted Chicken again, with yummy, healthy Broccoli on side. It's so darn good, it makes up for not being able to eat pizza. -okay, not really.

When I get home I am hungry. I usually hit the gym after work and Monday night is usually our order in take-out night. After working all day and then hitting the gym, I have about 2 hours before I am going to expire. When I order take-out from Martinis, which is only 1.8km from my house (3 minute drive on Google maps) why in the world do they always tell me it is going to take an hour for it to reach my house? And it does take an hour!

The food is pretty okay, I haven't tried the pizza, I usually get the Spanish Tortellini, which has a bit of a kick to it. I tried the Mediterranean Penne, but I found it to be too dry. The pastas come with a small salad, which I typically skip because I am not a fan of iceberg lettuce, I would rather have an extra piece of garlic bread, which also comes with the pasta. For $13 bucks, you get enough pasta for another dinner, so you get another night to put your feet up and tell the dishes that you don't need them anymore, so they start to feel unloved, and you can hear them weeping in the cupboards late at night.

I would definitely consider moving this up to four stars if the take-out didn't take so long, I just don't understand how boiling water for noodles takes so darn long? I can't really blame the delivery guy since the food always show up piping hot, so what's the deal with the kitchen? It's not like the people in the restaurant wait an hour for their dinners, so why do we have to at home? It's like we are being punished for our laziness. And laziness is next to Godliness from what I have heard.

In years past, it definitely WAS among the better restaurants in Vancouver.
    Unfortunately, those days are gone.
It's possible there is a new owner, who knows.

Facts are, the food is okay and if ordered for delivery,
you are gambling with a 50 - 50 chance it may be good.
More and more often, a pizza will arrive soggy, or burned,
or tough, fried itmes too hardened, etc.

Then there is the so called management and some of theirstaff:
Not friendly or professional in their dealings with the public.
    And they don't care!

We certainly have no intentions of giving them our business
    anymore.

You know, there's not many places like this around.
Old-school type pizza places with big booths and low lighting and great pizza.

did i mention it looks like it's from the 70's BUT NOT !

The pizza is regular in size but HUGE in style and taste.

I give a PLUS to the staff for greeting us so quickly at the door.
Another Plus for making sure that the child with us was looked after with "stuff"
Another plus for having the forethought to bring the child his food first.

Very good experience and will be back for many years to come.

Great prices, wide menu selection, friendly staff, late night hours and portions to satisfy anyone.
Month after month, year after year, Martini's comes up solid.
Delicious pizza. Humbling sandwiches. Greek food, steaks, pasta schnitzel, and a monthly specials sheet. The entrees are all the best deal in town for size and consistency. My favourite is the schniztel dinner, or pizza number 16. And lastly, daily drink specials which made me a Wednesday regular.

Go here for the pizza.  It's bloody excellent.   They do a whole wheat pizza and manage to make the crust crispy with just the right thickness and texture along with a baked on cheese flavour.

One of the few pizza's I'd eat crust first.

Also, through-out the week they have various drink specials that are well worth your while.  Wednesday's for import $3.95 pints of Kilkenny and others for instance.

Another late night stop for your eating pleasure, especially after the clubs when this place really gets the business. They are open till 3 AM on the weekends, and if you are around this neighbourhood, this is probably one of your rare options to eat.

The food is ok, with a nice list of burgers, pizzas, and pastas to soak up all the liquor you have ingested at the establishment prior to hitting up this joint. They also have some Greek servings on the menu. A staple of Broadway for years, this place is definately staying around, and open late!

This has been my go-to place for take out for a while, as it is open late (they deliver until 1am or 2am I believe?) and is close to my old job.

They always say it will be 45 minutes to an hour for delivery, and it's usually not that long, although sometimes it is. Definitely order before you're hungry! ;)

The food always shows up hot and yummy. Portions are HUGE, so the pasta can often last two days. It also comes with garlic bread and a yummy salad. The pizza is pretty good, and I really like their tzatziki.

Always, always, always specify you need cutlery. Even after saying it two or three times, it sometimes still doesn't show up in my take out bag, and that's a big inconveinence for both the driver and for me, when my yummy food is sitting there getting cold while I have to wait for cutlery to get there...and I feel like a jerk for making the driver come back.

The delivery drivers are really friendly and funny, some of my favourite in the city.

Whole wheat pizzas with 27 topping combos for carnivores or 14 choices for vegetarians ... the biggest problem here is the decisions! Pizzas are crispy, thin, delicious and reasonably priced. But it's not only pizza, there's Greek, pasta, veal, steak, seafood, chicken, soup, salad ... and lots of meals under $15 -- and the portions are sure to fill you up.

They're open till 2am on Friday and Saturday nights, 1am weeknights and midnight Sundays, making it a great place to know for late-night eats.

A friend turned me on to this place as a great "date night" for people on a budget. The food is dependable, there are great weeknight specials on food and drinks, and there is so much selection everyone can leave satisfied. The neighbourhood-pub atmosphere is friendly and when I've visited it's always been busy enough to have a lively feel.

Martini serves Greek Food that is nothing outstanding. What makes this place popular its open late on weekends.

Martini makes their Pizzas with whole wheat flour, The age of the crowd is20-30's. Old reliable place...
There is much better Eats then Martinis in the Area.

Martini's is definiately one of my favorite restaurants in this side of town...the pizza is really delicious and the wholewheat crust makes it a slightly lighter twist..the salads are fantastic and the martinis are amazingly cheap for Vancouver and pretty impressive..am almost sure they are all doubles. The slightly rustic but classy decor and the dim lighting make it a great spot for intimate dinners...I went with a group of twelve once and we didn't feel disturbed/overlooked or anything..martini's has my vote!

I discovered this place when i was told to order 20 pizzas for a lunch time party..and i was happy to oblige because pizzas and me have some love/hate issues.
What i loved was the crust, oh and the sauce, and the toppings!
It is ultimately the perfect pizza and it feels healthy to eat it.. maybe not after eating 1/2 a pizza but you still feel better then most other places.

I have yet to try anything else other then there cesar salad, and it was great as well.

I have only ordered out and had it delivered so i have no idea what eating in is like and i am fine with that.

I come for lunch once in awhile, but really this is my go-to delivery place.  Delivery takes long, at least an hour.  Sometimes it's ridiculously long waiting on the phone to get your order taken too!

But, food is reasonably good here.  Pizza is always good.  I like that they have different dishes than the normal menus, like you can get garlic mashed potatoes with stuffed Neptune chicken.  Yummy!  I also like their kalamari & tzatziki sauce.  Garlic cheddar prawns are also very good.  It's nice to have a varied menu to choose from.  The only thing I can't recommend is their crispy dry ribs.  These are not the ribs you would expect.  They're long flat boned ribs, very strange.  I haven't ordered that in quite awhile now so maybe they've fixed/changed the ribs, but I tried twice & said never again!

Went to Martini's a couple months back and if I recall correctly, they had a bit of a line up going on. Thankfully we made reservations so we didn't have to wait. The service was okay, the waitress was a bit snooty. Maybe we were just a bit unlucky that night.

Most of us had pasta and pizzas, both were really good. Variety of choices in pizzas, even for vegetarians which is a nice bonus. The vegetarian lasagna wasn't that great..so stay away from that. Nobody really had any complaints about food.

I like the simple decor of the place, much like Brown's Social House in Yaletown or something like that. The candles were lighted, and I like how they have these window seats if you wanted those instead.

All in all, good experience. Would go back if I had some kind of get together with classmates/friends. Reasonably priced too.

I went here with a group of friends the other night. There weren't a lot of people in the restaurant and yet the manager had a huge issue with putting tables together for us. He was not very helpful. On the other hand the server was extremely lovely and was quite courteous.

The food was ok. I wouldn't recommend the lamb burger. It's quite dry but everyone who had pizza said it was amazing.

    i prefer a sports bar....
i rather watch the canucks games, hang out with the guys...
    something martini's lacks...

but you can't beat martini's for the micro brew selection, nachos and appies...
the food is great...the whole wheat pizza makes you feel you are eating something healthy?
    and the price is reasonable...
    4-stars, it is...

One of my regular take-out faves for whole wheat crust pizza. (but be careful when you order onions......I love onions but there was way too many on my pizza the last 2 times I ordered it!).  Great ceasar salad and other salads.  Dining in you can expect good service. Relaxed vibe, attentive wait staff etc. It may not be the place if you are counting calories - b/c they are generous with sauces and cheese.  Pizza toppings are under the cheese - so if you like it the other way you may want to ask if they can do it for you.  I have friends that like the pepperoni on top so it can brown....details, details! Just order a Za and enjoy : )
