Review from Tony T.
On our trip to Toronto, we stayed one night at the Sheraton Fallsview and had an amazing experience. I booked the 1-night Getaway package for two from their website. This is a great special package for two to visit the Niagara Falls and experience the best Sheraton has to offer.
During check in, I asked for the upgrade and they had several suites available on that day. After checking out those rooms, we decided to take the Two level Royal Suite with additional $75 US on the package price. It has the panoramic views of both American and Canadian Horseshoe Falls. The view is so beautiful at night when the lighting changes on the falls.
We enjoyed the dinner at the A CUT ABOVE Steakhouse located on the mezzanine level of the hotel since we have the $50 voucher. The buffet breakfast at their lavish restaurant was pretty good as well. The package also include the Magic show and shuttle bus to the fall. This save us around $10-$15 US for parking our car near the fall. -

Location: There is 2 Marriott on Fallview boulevard, right across the street from each other ,which is a bit confusing. The hotel is located at the end of Fallview blvd. It's about 8min walk to Fallview casino and 25 min walk to Cliffton Hills. There was no direct route down to the fall, so close yet so far away.... We had to walk north toward Murray street, then walk east toward the fall, approximately 15min walk.
Hotel: The hotel lobby was still in construction, so, there wasn't much to comment on. There is a Milestone and Starbuck at the hotel. Milestone is open for lunch and dinner. Breakfast would be a great addition to the menu. I stop at Starbuck to get a latte before heading out. The girl at the counter was a bit cranky....tough day I guess.
Room: I got a fall-view room, perfect view of the American and Canadian falls. The view was awesome. 5 stars. Room was clean. Furniture was abit old, the couch have seen better days.
Parking is $20/night. -

This place has an amazing view, and I have really enjoyed it in the past, but will not return.
I stay at many Starwood properties and am very familiar with how they work, not really sure what is going on here. I guess now that the Dollar is at par they do not need us?
On my recent visit they had overbooked fallsview rooms and had none available, even though you could still book them on the website.
I asked what they would do if someone booked it right now and the answer was basically nothing.
They could not explain the issue and really did not seem to care.
I am done with this location, I will stay at the other Sheraton or the new Four Points in future.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Picked this place mostly because it was one of the cheaper places to stay last minute.
This is the older of the Sheraton's on the Canadian side (the other is just a few blocks down), but the inside is pretty up to date.
We were just passing through and not in the hotel more than a few hours so we didn't care too much about view/etc, but this place is in a good location for a great view. Actually it might have one of the best views of the Horseshoe Falls, directly over it basically. We didn't book the falls view online, it was significantly more $$. At check-in they offered us the upgrade to falls view side for $35. The "city view" is a nice way of saying "it's not the falls view!" ... (the view is not of a city, it's of their parking lot and a construction site...). There are windows facing the falls by the elevator banks so you can get an idea of the view.
It's at the end of the strip, so you'll have to walk a few minutes to everything. The casino is close, but still a 5-10 minute walk or so. This also means the hotel itself is a bit quieter, if that's appealing.
There are no shops or anything nearby that I can tell (except the ones in the Casino)... So when we wanted ice cream after 11pm, we were pretty much out of luck.
The room was up-to-date with an HD-equipped flat panel. The bathroom was newly redone. Bed was very comfortable.
Overall a pretty good deal... we paid $99 CAD in what typically is the high season (Parking was an extra $20 in their lot.).. the other hotels nearby were a bit more. -

I took my family there to spend some time during march break. The price was OK but the food vouchers are for buffets in the Hotel. The food was ok but not great, the service was very poor, at least the waitress that served us was not helpful at all, she never offered us anything, pretty much left us to fend for ourselves. She charged me the wrong price for my children (you are only given a buffet voucher for 2 adults or $50 worth at the bar). I found the price which I had to pay for my kids buffet was too high, $16 ea. and they hardly ate anything.
But I was also given Imax movie passes and Skywheel passes which I thought was a good deal. -

As others have mentioned, there are TWO Sheraton hotels - so make sure you book the right one, as this one is less (though lesser quality). The other is right next to the Rainbow Bridge and more central to the touristy attractions.
Pros:
-Cheaper than the other Fallsview rooms I looked at (Embassy Suites, the other Sheraton, etc). Right after Christmas, we spent $149 for the room
-A good view of Horseshoe Falls
-Easy checkout over your guest phone
-At least when we stayed, parking was complimentary
Cons:
-On the end of the strip, and no easy way down to the parkway to see the falls. You have to walk all the way down the street, then down, then all the way back over for the main falls info center - it literally is right below the Sheraton, but there's no way straight down, so that's pretty annoying (especially if you go when we did, in the winter, when it's freezing and snowing). Not a lot of stuff nearby and it takes a good 10+ minutes to walk to anything interesting
-At least when we checked, they had no package deals and nothing really included in the cost of the room - unlike, say, the other Sheraton which included passes to attractions and $ towards dinner.
-If you're like us and are unlucky enough to have a party in the room above or below you, you can easily hear what's happening through the window wall
-The elevators are ungodly slow. There are 4 total, two of them only go to floors 1-20, and two others go from 1-the top. If you get a good fallsview room it's likely you'll be above 20, and then you have to wait for only two elevators. Given they take forever by default, having two out of the running completely sucks.
-The entire interior seems older than I'd expect for a 4 star hotel
-The restaurants are expensive (like most of the hotel restaurants), was surprised that for breakfast they didn't even have pure canadian maple syrup - wtf?
A decent experience, and would probably stay there again due to the lower price for a great room with a view. Otherwise, not nearly as awesome as I had hoped. -

I wanted to reduce the stars for the Sheraton, but decided it was Starwood's fault and not this hotel's fault for the trouble we had..
We checked in at 4 in the morning and we were told that we had to pay for that night when the Starwood rep said we would just be charged an early check-in fee.. After arguing with Starwood, I spoke with the manager at the hotel.. He gave us a room to sleep in until our room was prepared.
Also, he gave us a room with a really good view of the falls.. As with every Sheraton, it had a really nice bed.. never had a problem sleeping in one..
Only complaint about the room would be the spottiness of the water temperature in the shower.. ah well..
Overall, really decent place, though I may look to go to the other Sheraton next time just for something different.. -
Review from Emily Y.
It was ok. The service--before and during--was not great. Going through renovations currently. The room was adequately clean though. The pool is a pool--not very pretty. No frills. Small. We did like the location away from the commotion of the touristy strip, although the hotel was still in teh touristy area. Very walkable. However, I am still very turned off by the fact that I had to exchange many messages with the hotel and then uppper Marriott management over the $20/night that they wanted to charge me for a crib in the room. The issue was eventually resolved, and the crib was complimentary but the first person I spoke with while making the reservation kind of laughed/chuckeled at me when I expressed my surprise at being charged a crib.

We stayed here when our palns to go to the Fallsview Casino Resort fell through (that was our own fault). Nice hotel, rooms are clean and up to date. Hotel staff was friendly. Workout facility was okay, pool was run down.
It's a bit far off the beaten path. This is the furthest hotel away from the falls on the west side so walking to anything will be a challenge is you aren't as fit as you'd like to be. Shuttle buses run to all the good stuff though so you're covered that way. -

We chose the Fallsview over the Sheraton on the Falls based on recommendations from friends who live in Toronto, and they were right! We booked a Junior Presidential suite for our anniversary and had a room on the 9th floor with an AMAZING view of both Falls. The suite is ingeniously designed so that you have views from the bathroom, bedroom and living room. The staff were all very polite.
OK, now the negatives. I wasn't crazy about paying for parking or Internet access, but I had been forewarned by other reviews on Yelp, so I was prepared for that. Also, the room got really hot even with the AC on max; when we called maintenance about it, they told us to keep the drapes closed! Finally, although we had a lovely kitchenette in our suite, there weren't any plates, cups or cutlery - not even a napkin. Seems a little chintzy with these rates.
Overall, a very good place to stay although I might check out the Marriott next time. It seemed like it would have marginally better views. -

Rooms were just ok. It did have an indoor water park?
