This place is closed. The new restaurant is called endless summer. We didn't stay, went to the Marine Pub next door for burgers and beers. Much more fun.

The food here is decidedly average (at least my omelette was), but the atmosphere and the view is incredible. Being able to sit outside on their patio on a sunny Sunday morning, in January no less, evokes one of those "why would anyone live anywhere else but Vancouver?" moments.
As for the food, like I said, average. My cheddar, red pepper and ham omelette was OK, but nothing spectacular. My fellow diners did both better and worse than I did with their meals. One friend's ahi tuna salad was good but quite small for the price, whereas my other friend raved about her burger. It also didn't hurt that mimosas were on special and our server was friendly and prompt.
Overall, this is definitely a fantastic destination for the location, not the food, but still a good place to enjoy some drinks, people watch and perhaps enjoy some appies. Can't wait to come back in warmer weather! -

This place, I found a little hard to rate. I mean, I love the location and presentation, but the food really did not meet my standards. It was very plain and boring. We ordered 3 things to try.
Crab cakes: 2/5 Average, but way to oily.
Ahi Tuna with tomatoes and avocado: 2/5 Fresh, but felt like everything was just slapped together. Didn't do anything for me.
Chicken and bacon pizza: 2/5 Now this, I was surprised. I didn't know you can really mess up pizza. It was bland and had way too much tomato sauce.

However, the service and the view were amazing. It was very relaxing to be able to sit there and people watch as well as look at the water. The dirty martinis were also not bad. I don't think I'll go back unless I hear about them revamping the whole menu. -

Marmalade, I don't mind that you charge a little extra for that kind of water view real estate, skimped on the seasoning for the hashbrowns, used conventional eggs in your benny and housed your meh ketchup in Marmalade branded glass water bottles.
Your Florentine Benny was pretty impressive and loaded with spinach. The soft poached wobbled a little when they arrived at the table, a sure fire way to know that they're done just right. The hollandaise was well seasoned, not quite sure what with, but it had a distinctively taste that was rich in consistency.
I don't mind, Marmalade because your lightening quick turnaround time for meals and a decent latte kept me complacent by feeding my growling tummy right away. You can assure that I'll come just to avoiding weekend brunch lineups.
It doesn't hurt that you're interior is pretty to look at and cozy up in too! -

After all the great reviews, I headed down to Marmalade this past weekend, and what a perfect weekend to enjoy THE selling point of Marmalade -- the patio beside False Creek! Marmalade's a great place to chill in the sun, watch the pretty people skating, running, biking and walking, and have a nice bevi or bite to eat.
Food: I've been for drinks and for brunch. Drinks were typical, and not too unreasonably priced. I'll focus this review on the brunch.
French toast is my thing, and Marmalade did a fair job with it. I ordered the strawberry french toast, but the "strawberry" part consisted of what tasted vaguely like Smucker's jam (and no, I couldn't get marmalade flavour -- what's up with that?!), so I quickly got sugared out. The toast itself was pretty good, so I might ask for the jam on the side next time.
There was nothing else besides the 3 pieces of toast and the jam on the plate, so I also ordered a side of bacon, which despite the promises on the menu, was partly crispy and partly, erm, not crispy....
To drink I had a cappucino, and though I should know by now not to expect much, it didn't quite meet expectations. It was more of a latte than anything else, and a little on the weak side. But it wasn't all bad (unless you've just come back from Italy =) )
Service: This is a tough one, because if I rate them by this weekend's experience alone (which is not fair since the Olympics are here), I'd give them 1 or 2 stars only.
Though they were pleasant (a shocker considering one was certainly a Brit and we know how lovely British service is), the one or two waiters they had were so unbelievably slow that brunch almost became dinner. Now I didn't mind much because it was awesome to just relax in the sun, but it was a little irritating to have to lead the staff through the process of serving me.. ok, can you bring me a menu now?.. next I'd like to order.. oh yes, cutlery would be sublime.
In all fairness, however, I will go back again after the Olympics and revise my review then.
Environment: when the sun is out -- 6 stars! So nice down there at False Creek.
Price: French toast, bacon and a cap was $20. A little pricey.
Recommendation: go for drinks in the evening for a first try. -

Came here with a groupon coupon ($15 off!) which was worthwhile because the experience was nice.
The best part is definitely the location sitting outside is a must even if it is a little chilly, they provide heat stands and cozy blankies!
The food was pretty good, nothing to absolutely die for but the best on the menu definitely the burgers. GO for those! They come with yam fries and a kicky chipotle sauce, really delish.
All in all a good time, service was really good (although we went early) and our tummies were sufficiently satisfied! -

A lazy walk West along the seawall lunchtime on Saturday and we ended up here...it was a little chilly but they had the most massive heat lamps on the patios and warm blankies. It had a sort of Miami-feel -- white couches, modern art/decor...too bad there weren't many people. But that was maybe a good thing because it meant we got extra special attention from our lovely server Sharifaie (and no I didn't remember how to spell his name I just happened to still have the bill) :)
We ordered a simple brunch - Florentine Benedict and A Canadian Breakfast. Overall - it was a good breakfast. Nothing extraordinary, except for the hash browns - they were cut and (I swear) DOUBLE fried....extra crispy...just the way I love them!
Overall, a nice breakfast with a nice view...too bad it's in a kinda sorta out of the way area. -

Amazing waterfront patio. We love to head down on a sunny morning.
The brunch is always great and sure enough, the marmalade is just right - be sure to order something that comes with toast! -

Persian cooking on western plating is the Marmalade culinary mantra. I'm a huge fan of Persian food, although admittedly it usually has poor presentation. The western approach lends itself well, tasty food demands an appetizing appearance. The location is unreal. Right on the water in the False Creek Harbour, the view is the boats and Granville Island.
With all this going for it, you'd think Marmalade Kitchen would be busy. Not so, I live across the street and I rarely see more than a few tables occupied on a given night. Vancouver restaurants are sink or swim and this place is drowning. -

When the sun is out, Marmalade is great. The outside patio is fantastic to have a beer. I have also had the morning traditional eggs breakfast, which was quite nice. I would say that the service attention could be improved.
