I'm yet to find a better tasting cup of coffee in Vancouver.

I went into Mario's Coffee and didn't end up buying coffee. I had a craving for a scone and got the last spinach and feta one. It was a little small and the price is average, but it hit the spot. If it were a little more buttery, that would be been perfect.
The staff was incrediably friendly and the man behind the counter seemed like the owner. He really cared about the business and was trying very hard to make sure customers were being looked after. That's the kind of thing I love seeing. -

If you weren't smack in the middle of the business district, you'd swear that you'd stumbled into the second best coffee bar on the drive.
In the coffee chain wasteland that is the downtown, this place is a beautiful little niche where service is not only personable, but professional. Very nice coffees and all the amenities of a straight-up all Italian coffee bar. An excellent find. -

This spot is a true business-district classic. On weekdays, Mario himself serves up fresh brews and steaming americanos. Expect soccer to be on the tv during game season and lively Latin music during the rest of the year.
The taste of the coffee is finely crafted and delicate, but the after-buzz is akin to a caffeine high. Personally, it makes me shaky. But if a hard-hitting jolt is what you're needing, no one serves coffee like Mario's. -

Mario's brews a great americano. the staff are very friendly and you get a sense that this is how a cafe should be run. patrons chat with the owner, watch football and drink their coffees on the tiny tables outside.
