Review from Reema B.
Toronto, ON
The hidden jewel amid the swath of Italian restaurants who all promise authenticity and family atmospheres. Every time I eat here I feel like I just committed robbery. From the unbeatable Marino's salad to the holy-shit-who-knew-pizza-could-taste-like-this marguerite pizza, to a seafood risotto that will change your life, Marino's is the kind of place you will talk about long after the meal is done and the night is over. If any of the above are not for you, just ask the servers what they recommend and you'll be glad you did. On Valentine's day, with everyone else clamouring to get a reservation for a latest flavour of the week with pretentious staff and less than inspired portions, I'm so glad I could walk into Marino's and get a smile, a world-class dining experience, and a kick-ass creme brûlée to top it off!
Don't think about it. Just do it. -
Review from Michael D.
Woodbridge, ON
As a first generation, Italian-Canadian, native to Vaughan and entrepreneur whose business takes him to 30 countries, I rate this restaurant as best in Woodbridge. There is not a single item I have had that I wouldn't consider ordering again. The service is personal and prompt. The atmosphere is upscale family and friendly. My brother chose to celebrate my nephew's baptism here and i chose to celebrate my daughter's 13th birthday here - need I say more! I especially love the Marino's salad and Cornish Hen... Amazing!! Woodbridge has some of the finest Italian food in the GTA. Marino's, is in my opinion, one of the best if your priority is an exceptional quality meal.

Brampton, ON
We went in early to the place, the server sat up right away, but gave
us a table that was too small, there was nobody in the joint and this guy gaveus the smallest table in there. Anyways, we ordered drinks, wine and a moretti beer. Fine. The server gave us slices of fresh out of the oven pizza stlyle, oil and rosemary bread, good and hot. We orderer a pizza (margherita-plain sauce and cheese-good but not the best i've eaten), a ceasar salad--boring same ol' no uniqueness and
fried squid and shrimp (OK--3 out of 5 ( but it was hot)) + 1/2 more of a point for that. The waiter kept on asking us if we wanted to order the main course, almost felt rushed. My wife noticed that the signature spring water at $6.99 a bottle (Marino's water was expired 07/09). We asked him and he said honestly thats all he has and he's never heard of an exipry on water and stated he would take it off the bill. We agreed and did not drink the water 3/4 full bottle, plus whatever he poured stayed there. We recieved are main courses, my wife gnocchi, she said they were good and i had a bean broth (pasta e fagioli) very tasty.
I asked the waiter for another bottle of Moretti, he said he knew this was going to happen, what i mean by this is that he said it wasthe last one, and offered another brand. I don't drink alot but the first beer tasted good, i am in a Italian restaurant and they only have one bottle of traditioal beer...you make your conclusion..I ordered a diet coke instead...we recieved the bill and the waiter did not take it off, we inquired and he went over to the cash wailing his hands, bad if the customer see's you--just a note. We tipped 12$ on a 80$ bill so I dont know what his problem was... Anyways to sum things up, the food was OK-to good, atmosphere 2 out of 5-average, probably would not go again, nothing that really stuck out....
