Review from Lynne P.
Vancouver, BC
I love the staff at Marine Drive and also at West End Veterinary here in Vancouver. The clinics are owned by the same vets and share staff back and forth and they really are super to deal with. I've had the misfortune of a Boston Terrier puppy who just seems to run into disaster after disaster and we've been to the vets pretty much every month in the six or seven that I've had her.
The support staff (especially Kim) are so nice, totally understanding and really helpful and all four of the vets I've seen were just unbelievably awesome--Dr. Burt and Dr. Ben, but Dr. Lepitre and Dr. Paunovic especially. They are good in that they give you straight advice but don't push you to do unnecessary procedures just to jack the cost of your bill up.
In terms of costs for vet services I'd say they are more on the mid- to low-end. I used to take my cats to see Dr. Spooner at Yaletown Pet Hospital and I really loved Dr. Spooner but they were just too expensive to continue. Consider: When I called for an estimate to have my Boston spayed, Yaletown quoted me $450-475 and Marine Drive/West End only $320-330. It's a big difference.
The bottom line is that everyone that works here is very competent and very sweet. You can rest assured that your loved one (doggy or cat!) is in good, caring hands and the service you receive as a customer is unparalleled. I wouldn't go to any other vet.
