What a great find!  We were walking around and just came in thinking we were just going to have coffee.  Somehow we ended up eating and loving it.  I had a vegetarian croque monsieur.  The bread was simply amazing.  I did not want it to end!  The side salad was super fresh and very enjoyable.  Everybody else enjoyed their meals and desserts.  I was so impressed by the bread I had to have a croissant after my lunch and it was delicious.  Very flakey and buttery.  They also have a little gourmet store (well, maybe not so little, we did not go to the upstairs).  The service was very friendly (not always the case in Montreal).
We will be back tomorrow morning on our way back to NH to get some bread!

Had to add to the previous:  Went back this morning (4/10/11).  The gentleman that had waited on us (maybe the owner?) seemed so happy to see us again.  He was busy and it took him a while to take care of us but he was so nice about it and even friendlier than yesterday.  We got bagettes, croissants and several salads to go.  Everything was delicious.  All four of us were so impressed.  Definitely will stop by again on our next trip to Montreal!

    YELP COUPON ALERT
Went here twice.  First time for wine and cheese for the b&b room.  The server hooked us up with some locally made cheddar and then ground up some special seasoning to put over the cheese later.  Turns out it was some maple sugar and pepper mix.  The small upstairs store sells wine and beer.  We also came back and used our 15% off yelp coupon to buy some tasty souveneers for the friends and family back home.

We were walking around Old Montreal looking for a nice place to eat and kill some time and my girlfriend spotted this little sign on the side of a building.  She said we should check it out.  We entered and immediately thought it looks very quaint and cute.  We had a seat at a table and were shown the "features" for the day.  My girlfriend had one and I had something else.  The menu wasn't huge, but had a good variety of different sorts of food, and everything tasted great!
The servers were friendly and pleasant.  There is a nice selection of hot and cold drinks, a dairy area with cheeses and whatnot.  There is a nice area with a ton of chocolates.  My girlfriend and I eat had two (rocher et cognac) and I was offered a passion-fruit as well on-the-house.  As a result of these delicious chocolates, I decided to get a gift-box for my mom and grandma of six chocolates.  The chocolates were $1.25 individually and the gift-box price is just however many you can get in a box (around six - no special deal).  There is also an area in the back which has some nice specialty foods.
Marché du vieux was a great place to relax and have some delicious food and great service on our only day in Old Montreal.  They have a very impressive website too which looks beautiful and is very informative.  We'll be back next time we're in Montreal for sure!
